Yes, my husband will shut my office door, go to another floor, put on his headphones when he is on his computer, he does NOT like hearing me game, especially when I am laughing and having such fun ... (He is just jealous that he isn't as passionate as I am about my gaming as he is with his stupid dumb old games. hehe) But he is in a family of gamers and over the years has learned that he is outvoted, we get to game, he could join us, but no, he does not get it. Yes oddly this time no "impure client" notice for me and others- just black screen so wiped the main and fixed it...I could go back to find the offended map but seemed isolated to only a few of us...Perhaps @TheLastColdBeer could post it since it told him and it is in his recycle bin

Found this. Can’t post the link but here is one answer from a forum. Some BIOS manufacturers have a separate save action for user preferences. This could be because the boot order is maybe considered to be user preferences by those BIOS manufacturers. It does make it a bit confusing as they also have a regular option called 'Save and Exit' or 'Save and Reset' which don't seem to save the boot order preferences. After you make the change to the boot order it is simply not sufficient to 'Save and Exit' or 'Save and Reset'. You need to first save the changes as User Defaults and then any one of the above 2 options. Boot back in to the BIOS and you should see the boot order stick to what you wanted. This is most commonly seen in AMI BIOS -- I have seen this in many server boards like TYAN S5533, Supermicro X9, X10 & X11. See if you have an option similar to 'Save User Defaults' or 'Save Defaults' somewhere in your BIOS and try it out.

I run into an occasional "map error" too. I just remove the file and the program downloads the correct version. Just as you describe. My issue was it never gave me any file errors Just a black screen. Anyway I back to normal. Well scratch that. Im never normal.

I had the same issue a few days ago, it finally told me which map was the offender. Got rid of it and good to go.

Been down and out for the month just got settled in to the new house! during our move my fiances dad passed away during the move which halted the move so when had to get all of that straightened out. I just got internet here so you will see me again! PS: For Anyone who is PC savy anytime i boot my pc it wants to boot off a different drive so i have to manually go into bios and pick the drive that has my OS on it and it doesnt want to save in the order its supposed to be in. i have tried everything from fresh install and wipe everything to UEFI Firmware. Literally everything i can think of besides of buying new drives.

Sorry Loader, I empty my recycle bin frequently. I just started COD2 a couple times after the error, and it told me (eventually) which map was the problem. I got the black screen at first too.

Sweet fish we are going to have to talk. I have spent the past several weekends fishing at least one day at a Lake near my house 15 minute drive and have been slaying the Rainbows. In fact I got my limit every time I have been fishing this year except 1 day when I got 3 but they were on the larger than average. I also am not sure my light trout gear would work for those fish on the rivers around here but it could be a fun test of my skills. How come you have 1 hand empty though?

@MikeB clear out your "main" folder you probably have to many map packs in there too...There has been a few of us including me that has had the black screen after this rotation I did...Clearing out the main fixed it for us Glad you got it sorted

Got it working. I replaced the main cod2mp.exe file with another copy and now I can get into the Blackbart server. Strange it didnt effect joining any other server. But.... Stanger shit happens.

We do not have many "Woke" in Ohio. Only in the big cities for the most part. Hell California and New York have the distinction of being the "Woke" states. Wokeness is like Disco. A food shortage? Unlikely but nobody can predict the future. However keep in mind that in America if someone can no longer buy their favorite can of beans its a food shortage.

I am seeing the quality of some items going down in the produce sections. I also stocked up on flour and vacuum packed it. I live in CA but months ago there was worry about the wheat crops in the Ukraine affecting the world supply. My wife’s cousin in Greece s saw a bit of a shortage of flour in the stores there so I figured it doesn’t hurt to store some as long as they are sealed tight
