I know your budget is roughly under 1,500 dollars, but this is what I would build. If you can mod yourself. If not, buy a Dell like Kapt. Crunch says. The links below will have your games drooling for action. And, you can always add memory later if you only want to use 8 or 16 Gb now. I don't know what GPU your camp is, so I put both scalable link interface and crossfire options. And the PSU is single 12v rail. The case is mid tower. And you have the option to mount a radiator on top if you choose to go water cooling. Sometimes the full tower cases are too massive, so you can get by with a 0mid tower.
 
This case probably is a bit over 2,000., but like I said you may change your GPU or Memory. I would definitely keep the SSD. At 256 Gb, you could probably install 10 games or more. Use your old HDD for storage. And just game on the SSD. You can always add another later.

I agree with most of the things Ironcity has suggested, but you could probably get an intel i5 4670k instead of the i7 4770k. That will save you around £100 and all you loose is hyperthreading and 2mb of cache. Games generally see no benefit from hyper-threading anyway. I don't see that changing any time soon. You will still be able to overclock it as it is unlocked too.
 
For the SSD, i'd say the Samsung 840 Pro would be a better purchase. It's £10 cheaper at scan and they are actually faster than the OCZ one. OCZ have been known to have some reliability problems in the past, although that may or may not have been resolved by now. TBH even the intel drives which are well known for their reliability due to extensive testing, are cheaper than the OCZ one highlighted in the previous post.
 
For the GPU I would go for the Nvidia 780 as Ironcity has linked, but I'm in the Nvidia camp. So that may be biased. The reviews that I have read on the AMD 7990 have not been that kind to it. Also, AMD may have a reply to Nvidias gtx 780 by the end of the year to early next year so you may be better waiting if your an AMD fan.
 
I would advise you not to try and save money by getting a cheap power supply though. Get a well known and reliable brand such as Corsair, Seasonic or Silverstone. The last thing you want is the power supply failing on you, or damaging expensive components due to bad ripple for example.
 
Just a few things to think about. At the end of the day it is up to you though. Enjoy.

Hi tom,for that kind of budget i think you will struggle to get some of the items listed above.....a gtx 780 would take the majority of that budget,let alone adding the latest i7 + ssd's.I think you should be looking towards at least a i5 3570k or if you could go the AMD route which are very reasonably priced,such as the FX 6300 six core £88.36 with scan.Memory you would probably get a good set of 8Gb for around £50 either gskill or corsair and i would go with a 128Gb ssd and use any existing hard drives and optical drives you are using for the moment,and as mentioned above dont scrimp on the power supply ,get a good named brand with plenty of headroom in case you upgrade other things later....
 
 
At the end of the day its down to personal preference at what you are willing to spend,but if someone gave me £900 and said build me a pc,i would probably put together something along these lines.....

This lot comes in at £894.98,so just under the £900 upper limit you qouted......these are just a rough guide as to what you could get and what would be easily capable of playing the latest games.As i said its all down to what you want and your budget  but do your research and decide which route you want to take be it either AMD or Intel...

Hello all, I'm LostContent also known as Tom, it was fate that brought me to XIs hardcore server obviously... Probably the best server I've found since playing Battlefield 3. I've racked up a lot of hours on the server most likely to be the most hours spent on any server as well .
I'm a 19 year old from the East midlands currently working in Engineering, and working towards getting a University place in Sheffield to study Paramedic Practice
That's all I have to say really, a nice quick introduction.

P.s I have a growing suspicion that Ed isn't actually a duck.. Who knows!?
