Tw33tle_Dee got a reaction from ALanHim in Mount your own Pc Gamming for less than 300 Bucks
Released sometime in September, Windows 11 24H2’s new PopCnt cpu requirement will keep most unsupported pc’s from even booting. Unlike TPM and secure boot, so far there is no work around for this requirement.

This is built in to Windows 11. Go to settings/gaming and turn on game mode. You can set graphics to high performance for each game.

Tw33tle_Dee reacted to Ruggerxi in An unexpected gift I received that brought tears to my eyes
For those who don’t know, my father passed away in June. We were very very close and spent multiple days together every week, especially after my mother passed about 6 years ago. It’s been incredibly difficult these past few months. A few things happened the day he passed and it’s really mentally has taken a huge toll on me.
This Fest was so nice because I was able to see my 2nd family and just enjoy the company and not have my mind wondering back to certain things. It really helped knowing those people are there for me no matter what.
Then to show what kinda love and support I have from this awesome family. I opened my mailbox today to find this, that
@BlackRose
@WldPenguin
@loaderXI
And Blackroses husband made for me
Thank you all for this
I sent it to my family members and they all loved it!
It’s amazing the family bond we have here
Thank you so much for this 🙏🙏🙏

Tw33tle_Dee got a reaction from MtDeW in Recommendation for computer parts
That’s a midrange system. The i3 12100 is an awesome little processor for the price. You should be fine with the games you want to play. More demanding games will require turning some settings to medium or low. This sight shows fps for alot of games, should give you an idea of what to expect; https://chipguider.com/?vp=geforce-rtx-3050-ti-6gb-with-core-i3-12100-benchmark-1

Tw33tle_Dee got a reaction from RobMc in Steam Version of COD5 Won't Let Me Create an Online Profile
Go to your Profile folder and make sure there were no $$$ accounts created. Open your "active" folder in your profile folder and make sure it displays your correct name and not $$$.
If all is good, you can try this. Has worked for many: https://www.thetechgame.com/Archives/t=5597043/cod-waw-online-profile-issue-solved.html

Did you allow CoDWaWMP.exe through your firewall? Are you using the original cd key from which your profile was created? (Insert key in game menu in single player).Try running the .exe as admin from your Steam /common folder.

Have you looked in event viewer for any errors? Do you have a different headset to try just to rule that out?

Tw33tle_Dee reacted to Krackennutz in Windows 11 bit of advice for you
Alot of W11 updates seem to have problems in them[no surprise] they just do not install correctly,So after having to reload PC once again months ago found best way to check and repair it just in case depending on speed of your PC 1 to 3 mins wow! but worth it
click on the windows icon on task bar then ALL APPS look for Windows Tools[ great they upgraded that lol] look for command prompt,left click on that and hold mouse button and drag it to desktop ,saves keep looking for it,
Now Right mouse click on it select Run as Administrator, when box pops up type in it sfc/scannow , it will look for any violations and will nearly fix all of them for you most of the time
reason putting this up,for many not computer literate is because out of the last 2 major updates have gotten the wonderfull security lockdown,on 2nd reboot and got windows back up, have run the above and its fixed them

Tw33tle_Dee reacted to LtLaszlo in What do you do for work?
Started 44 years ago at a global automobile paint finishing company named Durr. A German company with our office in the Detroit area, in 1978 I started as a production worker for one year. You might say I "discovered electricity" and transferred into the electrical department, where I learned & built control panels for the equipment. Started EE school at night, moving from wiring, to design, service and eventually hardware & software engineering (I have been the Electrical Engineering Manager for the last 8 years). The company branched into automation in the late 80s (Durr Automation), then automation and industrial washers in the 2000s (Durr Ecoclean) and finally we now do only specialized washing equipment (Durr sold us in 2016 and now are just Ecoclean, Inc). When I started, we were in primarily in the automotive and tractor companies, but now we're in MANY industries. I have been fortunate enough, through my employer, to have travelled to many places I might not have otherwise (Venezuela, Mexico, and many western European countries - Canada don't count, since its only one hour away!). I even met "ANIMAL>XI<" (COD2) in Aachen, Germany for a beer! Hoping to retire in the next couple of years!

Tw33tle_Dee got a reaction from DEEJAYKEG in Windows 11 Install
Just installed Windows 11 on my laptops with the Windows 11 Installation Assistant. Not liking the new start menu, seems to take longer to get where you want to go. Was a pretty painless install though, kept everything I had installed- apps and drivers.

Tw33tle_Dee got a reaction from PHUCKITMAN in There are still DEALS on New Trucks if you know what to do
As a general rule, Toyota usually takes at least three years before they get all the bugs worked out of a new generation. The newest generation of Rav4 started in 2019 and was also a mess when it was released.
