So the news was suppressed I read the forums daily and I never know about all the action traranspireing . So from what I can gather COD5 is now left with two great admins Cat (love ya) and DJ smart dude. What does everybody think about how it all came about. Keep it clean first I hear of anybody bashing anybody I will ask that the post be deleted and my guess is it will be deleted. This is so I can understand how this all happened and went down. It did take a long time and it did have a big cost to the management team. Harry you post last  old wind bag LOL

These are the pictures of my wifes car after some scumbag rammed her from behind doing 100 mph the car spun then flipped over at least twice,thank god she was okay just some minor bruising. The women has no insurance and was useing bad plates plus she was pregnant and running threw the woods before they finally found her.

I'm really not aware how people can vote ban unless the individual was an admin without the >IX< but apparently all one needs to confirm a hacker is an opinion and a weak sense of critical thinking. Nyx took care of the issue thankfully because we've played against one another on many occasions exchanging high scores for awhile. I'm not trying to boast or brag but I just wanted the community to know that there are people...apparently with ban powers "again don't know anything about server running" who will ban if you preform to well.

This was released from NFO, which might be contributing to any lag seen lately
We are observing particularly frequent and large attacks today at most locations, including NYC. When an attack is occurring that saturates one of our upstream links, our system instantly null-routes the target to minimize damage, but a small burst of packet loss is seen by a segment of clients (those whose inbound traffic came over a saturated upstream link). 
The primary source of these attacks continues to be Amazon, as they still do not have systems in place to effectively mitigate outbound attack traffic. Some other cloud providers that do not proactively notice abuse and do not quickly handle abuse notifications are also involved, including Oracle, Microsoft, and DO. 
We will continue to mitigate these attacks as they are seen. We have been in contact with a couple of these other cloud providers in the past about improvements that need to be implemented on their end to help, and we have been assured by some that improvements are on the way. In locations that can receive upgrades, such as Chicago, we are also in the process of those upgrades, to help on our end with attacks that may occur later on. 
Attacks activity typically comes in bursts, and holidays are a favorite time for attackers to launch attacks. 
Update @ 7:32pm PDT on 4/23: Nearly all of the impactful attacks over the last 5 days (and in fact, the last several months) have used a provider called Digital Ocean (DO), which is experiencing difficulties with abuse and fraud right now. Attackers are launching attacks directly from their services. 
We have asked DO to block traffic to our Chicago location as an emergency stopgap measure while they work on improving their internal systems. We will likely do the same for other locations, including NYC, on Wednesday. 
As a test, we have blocked traffic from DO this evening. We expect little collateral damage from this based on our testing, but if you experience problems, it could indicate that you have a service which is connecting to DO infrastructure and will need to be migrated to other hosting. Please contact us with your feedback.
 
 

If you can get to Task Manager (i.e., ctrl+alt+del works on the black screen), you can go to the File menu and Run new task... and tell it to run explorer.exe.  This will give you your desktop back.  I realize a Windows "reset" probably fixed the problem, but if it comes back...
My work laptop gives me a black screen on every boot, so I'm no stranger to this procedure at all.  There are no other side effects, and I have no clue what's causing it in the first place.

This has happen to me several times in all cases a manual restart a few times would trigger a report and simply let it sit and it worked out every time...Problem noticed after was microsoft had pulled my drivers on video and sound and added their version....Went to AMD website and download correct drivers to fix...
Device manager/display adapters/right click on device/properties and go to events --- there you will see recorded any changes made
Do that on all devices if you wish

Had no luck with anything. Had to reset my PC. :(

I have  the same problem with my PC. But what causes my problem is my game  keypad that I keep next to my keyboard. If that sucker is plugged in when I start up I either get the same error as you  or a blue screen, But if UNPLUGGED when i start up no problem at all. So my suggestion would be unplug everything and start up then see what happens. It might not solve your problem but its worth a try before wiping your hard drive and starting again.
