Like a lot of us keep saying....its not guns that kill, its people that kill....

I guess we need to ban sharp knives next??

http://www.cnn.com/2016/07/25/world/japan-knife-attack-deaths/

So much for those that say you cant do mass killing with anything other than a gun....

Thoughts and prayers to those that suffer....again...what a world....

I have a better Question.....

If Omar doesn’t represent all Muslims, then why does he represent all gun owners?

But it’s never the gun.  And yet, somehow, the U.S. is responsible for 80% of all firearm deaths, 86% of all female firearm deaths, and 87% of all child firearm deaths in the developed world.  It’s just a coincidence that we have the highest per capita gun ownership rate in the world.   That’s a lot of irresponsible parents.

Fact: Ironically, firearm use in crimes in the UK has doubled in the decade since handguns were banned. Fact: Britain has the highest rate of violent crime in Europe, more so than the United States or even South Africa.

Where are you getting these statistics? If you are talking about international murder rates the USA is ranked 111. You also need to remember the USA is the 3rd largest country in the entire world. Out of over 300 million people on average 12,000 are murdered each year by firearm.

Brazil, a country of over 200 million people has 50,000 murdered on average each year by firearm. Brazil doesn't make it into the top 10. Brazil is ranked 15th in the world for their murder rate.

Russia is also more dangerous than the USA as far as firearm murders. Russia is ranked 52. A population of over 145 million has over 13,000 people murdered each year by firearm. Russia has half the population of the USA yet Russia has one thousand more people die to firearms than the USA.

my response to damage was light sarcasm.... I try to keep it light as it is too easy to misunderstand intentions with words alone....as I did with your post...

I wanted damage to know I didn't really really believe his stats but not be antagonistic...

Your a good speller but boy can your posts sometimes be misconstrued.... !FU ;)

I would love to see anyone try to Ban guns in America. Do they have any idea how many guns are privately owned in this country? Let alone the fact that our own military will not turn on it's people. You want'em? Come get'em.

If the time ever came that we are needed, the private gun owners in the USA are THE SINGLE BIGGEST ARMED FORCE IN THE WORLD!!

No one is coming to take anything...!!!

There is a way to Ban them.

I hope it never comes to be.

Through Taxes, Lawsuits and Insurance they could make it so expensive that in a Generation or Two, people would not to own a Gun for Personal Protection.

The Fly in the Ointment?

Terrorists are ruining that plan (and that is the only positive that comes from Terror)

That could work but then the gun factories would go out of business because no one is buying. Everyone is buying what is already out in the public if this were to happen.

Yes there will always be guns available whether Legal or Black Market.

Ex; If the Anti-Gun Establishment got their way and stopped all  Guns made in the USA, then Foreign  Made Guns would proliferate on the Black Market Hence making them still available to Criminals and Terrorists. Can you think that The U.N. or any Governing Body would be able to stop Gun Production in China, Russia or Eastern Europe?

The Answer is No imho...

If they Ban them Here, I move.

I refuse to live anywhere where I'm not allowed to Defend my Family and my Home...

Most guns in Texas arent even registered because they aren't required to be unless fully automatic so good luck with that in Texas.
