Hello, does anyone know of a free and easy to use architecture design program?  I want to play around with some ideas on building a shipping container house. Would help in getting a better visual if I could lay it out first. Thought one of you amazing idiots might know of a good program.

Thanks

FreeCAD sorta works but its buggy since its still in early beta. Also its 2D only. I played around with it but could never really get it to work right since I am inexperienced in CAD. But you might have better luck. Pretty much its the only one there is.

Yeah, sketchup is your best bet...it's free, easy to use, plus it has a load of scale models for interior design so you can get a good idea of how the end project will look like.

Can just download it from their website.

Can also check out AutoDesk's AutoCad apps, though they are way more advanced. Can sign up for a free student edition that has full use (just an annoying dialog when you save). Don't know if it's changed, but I don't think you need a .edu email address for that, I didn't a few years ago.
