Those pictures were taken around June or July of 69, I don't know of any other bases that size in the Delta. A friend of mine who was stationed in the Delta thought it was Vinh Long. I just flew in from Long Binh on my way to Can Tho as I recall. As you can see one of the pictures was taken while we were still in the air. Here's a shot I took while on mission with the 82nd AB.

Blackbart, I have a couple of shots of an airfield in the Delta, might be Vinh Long. How can I get the pictures to you?

Doubtful Sarge, I may have a couple of shots of revetments with planes or helicopters but I never had an assignment there. Just flew in and out. I may also have a few at Bien Hoa but I have to look through boxes of color slides to find them. I've been trying to scan them a few at a time but I have a long way to go to get them all.

I was an artist and photographer for the army from 2-69 to 2-70. Stationed at Camp Davies on the opposite side of Saigon from Ton Son Nhut. I covered III & IV Corps from Tay Ninh to the Delta. I flew out of Ton Son Nhut many times going out on missions. As my buddy NumNutz can tell you, I have quite a few pictures and I would be happy to post if you guys are interested. Interesting side note, Combat Engineers wanted me to work for them which would have been great as I would have covered all 4 corps zones with them plus 2 trips a year to Japan. Unfortunately my unit would not approve the transfer.
