so how would i fix it?

when i tried loading one of the custom maps from the sniper server, mp_lsb_flatey, it started to load the map, then automatically cycled to a standard map, giving me an error that it couldn't find localized_mp_lsb_flatey...is there a way to fix this?

Actually, I kept everything in the same folders as they were in the zip, and I hosted it using Tunngle, with dedicated=0. But it wasn t the same sniper game mode as on the server...my friend was able to connect using Tunngle, so it worked, but it couldn't start any of the custom maps...I'm at the VA right now, but when I get home, I'll try again and see if I can get some screenshots for you guys.

i downloaded and installed that mod, labob, but it's not letting me play on the custom maps, and it's not the same game mode as the XI Sniper server...am i doing something wrong? i extracted the files to a folder called mp_xi_sniper in the Users >> Username >> AppData >> Local >> Activision >> WaW >> Mods directory...Is that the right way to do it? also, i didn't touch anything in the files. all i did was put them in the folder, and run it. it loaded the mod just fine, but it wouldn't let me play on the custom maps.

that might be my problem...I got the game files from my friend, and he told me to just get a multiplayer client to play the game with. singleplayer works just fine, but most mp servers won't let me connect.

is there another option?

So, I'm trying to connect to the XI COD4 Freezetag server, and I get this message: "Key Code in use. Please try again later." What the heck does this mean? How do I fix it? thanks for the help. ~* Phoenix DeFalco *~

okay, wtf. now, nothing works. Again. I'm back to every map crashing world at war. Could you please reset it or something? I'm starting to get very irritated, and don't know why the hell this is happening. I cleaned out all the map files, reset everything on my pc, and started over, and it's still crashing.

okay, so mp_st_george is now causing a crash as well...wtf. i loved st george...

Okay, so far, the only map that's causing the same crashing issue right now is the map mp_raffinerien. don't know what's wrong, but before posting this, I tried deleting the map and the mod files, and tried reconnecting after waiting to be kicked off, and it did the same thing. then i tried cutting all files from the usermaps location and pasting them to a separate folder on my desktop (so that i don't lose the working ones) and started "from scratch" (by that i simply mean with an empty mod folder and empty usermaps folder), and it still caused the game to crash. I think mp_raffinerien might be an issue for me...don't know if you guys can do anything about this, but for now, i'll simply avoid playing on that map. let me know if you guys do come up with a fix. What I forgot to include in the original post is that sometimes, the gaming group that I started, the CoD Honor Guard, likes to hold tournaments amongst ourselves, and we were thinking that it would be great to be able to play the sniper mod with custom maps like lsb_flatey, mass_africa_hill, and others, but without being interrupted by the fact that we're on a public server. Would it be possible to make the mod playable on a LAN/private server, with the custom maps that are currently included in the xi sniper server?

Hey, all! Phoenix DeFalco here. I was just wondering if it might be at all possible to use the xi_sniper mod in private/LAN matches between friends? If this isn't yet possible, would it be possible to make a mod to use in LAN matches in the future? i tried playing a couple maps on the sniper server today, a couple hours ago, and so far, everything appears to be working again...if it starts crashing again, i will let you know. thank you!

Actually, no, the only time this happens to me is when i try to play on your guys' >xi< sniper server. And in fact, everything was fine until about 2 weeks ago. that's when this started happening. and now i can't even connect at all without w@w crashing entirely. the problem is, I tried deleting all of the maps, and letting the server download them as they came up in the map rotation, but it still didn't work...

Well, we'll just have to duke it out then. Or we could join forces, take the world by storm! Mwah ha ha ha ha! Anyway, thanks all for making me feel welcome.

So, for some reason, after playing on this server for a fair amount of time, all of a sudden, after loading a map, the entire game crashes. Then i have to wait forever for the server to disconnect me, because i try to connect and get a "duplicate qport" error. Then i try to load the map and connect, only to crash again and the process starts all over. I tried deleting all mod files and all map files, and the same thing keeps happening.
