Is there something I can do to get myself unbanned? I'd be happy to stream my screen on Discord or whatever while playing, or maybe just wait it out. The XI servers are the only active Insurgency servers that I have decent ping to, so being unable to play on your servers would render the game useless to me. It seems entirely unfair to me to be unable to play because of some smoke kills.

Hi, thanks for reviewing my appeal. I have 1.3k hours in Insurgency and used to play in private competitive communities when the game was alive. I'm familiar with the common places people will hide and like to pre-fire and wallbang. I also like to stand around corners, smoke myself, and shoot people in the smoke while they pass me. It is also common to shoot through smokes when an enemy runs behind it, predicting their path. Smoke in Insurgency is a client-side particle effect, which means that there may be gaps in the smoke for one player (as the smoke particles move around) that may not be there for another. Another trick is to use the in-game compass at the bottom of the screen (hidden by default, bring it up with cl_hud_compass_show_always 1 ) to keep your bearings while inside smoke. As for using cheats: as I said, I have a lot of hours in Insurgency, and a cheater would have gotten banned in the amount of time I've played. I'm more than willing to be spectated if need be.
