Same thing. IDK what to do now but to stick to CODBO because Skyrim has issues too.

I have updated all my drivers today. I will disable the services and start up option and try the game again. My card plays this game fine. I've seen numerous people run it with the same card without issues and at decent settings. Hopefully I can get it to play correctly.

My game will randomly crash during a game. Black screen. Looped over sound clip that was playing at the time. I have to power it down to get out of it. I don't understand what's up with this. My PC will play everything fine and COD BO plays at extremely good frame rates. with the game on auto settings. When I play with MW3 on auto settings it turns everything down to like a 400x600 resolution. I naturally turn it up to 1024x768 and everything looks fine. I've tried DX 9 and still crashes. At first I thought sound was crashing. Now I thing it's my video card? Well, I'm new to this site but not to gaming. I am a PC guy by heart but socially I have no friends that play PC. Only Xbox. So I just gave up on PC for a while. Games I've played include: PC - Modern Warfare PC/Xbox - Modern Warfare 2 PC/Xbox - Black Ops Xbox - Modern Warfare 3 Starcraft I & II WOW - End game (Sadly) EVE Online (Takes too long to play IMHO) I sold my old EVGAFTW 790i SLi PC long ago for $700 and purchased a 42 inch LED TV (With funds saved up too.) and Xbox to play with my friends. Not knowing how bad I was with a controller. So I purchased a XIM3 so I could use my G500 and Lycosa on my Xbox. With the exception of being called a hacker every game I had a great time. But it was boring in a sense, Same games over and over. Little 14 year old quick scopers ruining a good game. I got fed up. So I sold my TV. Got 2 ACER 24 inch LED monitors and traded my Xbox for an ASUS ROG Maximus II Formula machine. So far so good. Feels good to be back on PC. Last month I purchased Black Ops for PC. I'm now almost 4th prestige. In COD4 I have 2 accounts. EVGAFTW and EVGAFTW1 (Because I was bored at 50.) MW2 I was VAC Banned on my old steam account. It's sad really. I hadn't played all week because I was busy with work. As soon as I hop on to play I'm greeted with a ban. They won't tell me why but I enjoy myself more on COD4 anyway. So be it I guess. Still want to know why. I no longer play WOW or SC games. EVE was a short lived experience. And now I'm trying to find a place to settle down and play games.
