  1. I just tried again and it gave the same error. I understand and will wait and see what the next steps are. If you need me to do anything, just let me know.
  2. Unfortunately, the IP is auto assigned and I don't control that. Without the VPN, the normal way I play, my IP is 45.37.253.199 as provided via DHCP/Spectrum. I did try connecting with a different IP via the VPN in a local city (Charlotte, NC) but that returned the same error. So I'm guessing it may not be an IP address issue since it doesn't connect either way, with or without the VPN. Are there other items that would make that error? If so, I can check those settings...
  3. Yes. Without the VPN is the normal way I connect. I only use the VPN for work when needed. It seems to be more a COD4X item with my IP address. I've had a bunch of storms and resets from Spectrum so I may have a new or slightly different IP address compared to a couple days ago. I could try to use the VPN and connect to another USA server, which would give me a different IP address test that theory. Thoughts?
  4. Hey there Penguin! I hope you are doing well! It still returns the error I listed. -Cyber
  5. This appeal and its replies are in a public forum and can be seen by all. What server were you banned from?: COD4 Main serverWhen did you get banned?: 7/22What was your in-game name?: cyberstrategistWhat is your game GUID (if known): Why do you think you were banned?: I was running my VPN prior to do some work. My bet is that it wasn't all the way off when I entered the game. To be honest, I don't know if it's a ban or something else. The message is: otection: matched rule 'proxycheck-risk-score-dangerous' Just let me know. I think that y'all know I'm here for the fun and comradery and nothing sinister like cheating or hacking. -Cyber
  6. After talking with Crimson via chat, he noted I should post something about smoking meats in the forum. I know there are a few of you that join the discussion when I bring it up in game. I appreciate that you appreciate the fine dining and cookery or smoked meats. lol. I'm in the process of getting my catering business up and running so I can let go of my IT Management work that I do. It should give me the freedoms I will want to have later on. Plus, I get to help serve the communities around where I live with the best Texas BBQ they've ever had. Who all enjoys smoked meats, either smoking it or eating it? If you cook, I'd love to know what you're using to smoke with! I have 6 smokers but limit myself to just three based on the cook size. 1.) Small cooks - Stainless 55 gallon drum (holds 8 pork butts when fully loaded) 2.) Medium cooks - I frankenstien'ed two mid-sized cabinet smokers together (holds 24 pork butts when fully loaded) 3.) Large cooks - My baby (I need to name it still) is Backwoods Smoke "The Whole Hog". I have yet to max this one out, lol. (Link to the newest version. Mine has a different firebox config so I can control the heat better: https://shop.backwoods-smoker.com/products/the-whole-hog?srsltid=AfmBOoq_MZHtisfD0QvzrTHX5rAdtfSjWeD9BOc-haHkbkhN8Q8iREOB) So, who are the crazy's joining me in this insanity? lol... Outside of Crimson that is... -Cyber
