    Updates!

    So obviously updates are important as they keep the website and servers safe - this is especially apparent with the recent major Microsoft exploits becoming known and more so with the outbreak of ransomware yesterday!
    When organisations such as these: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-39901382 get hit by ransomware attacks they can generally recover - its allot harder for a group of our size that has very limited technical support.
    As such today I have updated the Operating System, core components such as Java. We also run Malwarebytes for protection on the server so that is now at the latest version and updated with the latest definitions.

    This will be a running commentary of what goes into making the XtremeIdiots websites (yes there is more than one) and core services such as Teamspeak run. I generally only work on XtremeIdiots stuff during the weekends or when I am off work so this will be done in batches. 
    I hope this helps people understand what goes into getting things running and the effort that is put in when things go wrong etc.
