I'm trying to create a new user account so i can copy all my settings etc to it, then delete the old user account. I know i need to create 3 accounts on the machine to do this, one old, one new and one working account. I'm getting to do this ok, but when i copy all the files, leaving out NTUSER.DAT NTUSER.DAT.LOG & NTUSER.INI. Most of the files appear to copy ok but then i keep getting an error about the folder APPLICATION DATA. Get pop up box saying " i need permission to copy/move folder, log onwith admin rights" even though the account i am working on IS an admintype. Can somebody help me out? i need to do this in order to access windows backup. thx

Hope that helps, good luck.

Reallydon't wanna have to reinstall windows, just because i can't access the back up. The other option i think may just be to create another user account and change/access restore & back up centre from there. I can't see why that won't work, except probably it will only backup the settings etc from THAT user account. - this is turning out to be a fuckin nightmare!
