  1. I'll take a look at it mate thanks, but it will have to be pretty simple for me to attempt, also a little tricky to guarantee a power-loss free session whilst flashing :-/
  2. That sounds like the kinda thing i'm after, cheers dude. Checked case, everything nicely tidy as it should be lol
  3. Didn't have installed chap, ran from a thumb as u suggested, didn't find a sausage
  4. Hey Loader, Ran all of the above, CCleaner found lots of stuff in the registry, a lot connected to .NET, MB found nothing at all. So, guess until it bluescreens again, we won't know if it's been fixed, im still pretty convinced that it's something to do with the house electrical circuit. Are you aware of anything that i could use to connect between the power outlet and the pc? never had this issue at all until i moved into this quite old house. With regard to the win10 installation, i use Driver Genius to make sure everything is upto date, the only driver i haven't updated from the factory settings is the bluetooth driver - mainly because it won't connect to my phone if i update it. Somebody mentioned a bios update but i'm not confident in doing that, even though the motherboard has the Asus EZ Flash utility :-( Stool
  5. Hey guys so, i moved into a new house a while ago and around the same time done a clean install of windows 10, almost immediately my pc started fucking up, never had an issue before! So, i removed win 10, went back to 7, still having same issues, almost a bsod every day, swapped out my SSD and done another fresh install of win 7 - same result. I'm beginning to suspect that it's connected in someway to the electrical supply in the house. I don't get surges or outages that im aware of (in any case, the pc is connected to an anti-surge device) but i'm aware that computers like a steady supply and even a tiny dip/surge can cause restarts. Anyway, i had another one whilst in the middle of some critical work and now i'm fucked off with it. So, done a little bit more digging: Speedfan tells me the following: If in fact the CPU temp is right, that's a bit of a concern..... Event viewer from the last BSOD: and CPUID HW Monitor: Voltages look pretty solid to me....... so i'm at a bit of a loss, don't want to have to buy new stuff just to find out it's not the problem if i can help it. I'm pretty convinced that it's something to do with the electricals in the house.... Suggestions? Thanks A pretty pissed off Stool
  6. Hey all Is anybody running Cod2 on windows 10 x64? If so how does it run and any installation tips? Cheers Stool

  8. Cheers dude. Am moving home on the 2nd but will try to get along, be awesome to put faces/beer guts to the names lol
  9. Sup all... I remember seeing something about a UK Fest probably in Bristol, been searching for the thread but can't find it.... did I imagine it? #mushrooms
  10. so what ur saying is i can play COD2 without installing anything other than the game disc? What about those cheating SOBs?
  11. If i can dump the kids, i'll be coming to this, be good to get back to my hometown for a while. Hope they sell Thatcher's Gold at the venue .......
  12. Thanks all, turns out my card will support 4K (at least my screensavers are running in 4K and it looks awesome!) Anyway, finally got it sorted, issue turned out to be that although the TV has a dedicated DVi port, i have to rename the input to PC, once i done that all good. Thanks for taking the time to root around and post, appreciated. Stool
  13. You mean connect the monitor and tv at the same time? I'll give it a shot. After some further digging I discovered that unless you actually rename the port you're using either PC-hdmi or PC-Dvi the tv won't pick up the input anyway. So done that and STILL no joy. You'd think a £2500 tv would be a bit easier ffs. Thanks man, I'll try your suggestion and come back to you.
  14. Hey Joe no my card won't support 4K, that shouldn't be a problem though, the tv should automatically switch resolution to match the input. My card when it was last connected to a different tv was using a full Hd resolution. I'll look at the link you shared asap. Cherrs bro
  15. In safe mode I can use the PC as normal, except for the shit resolution and half my programs don't work. Shouldn't have to boot into safe mode though. This is a brand new 4K curved samsung and whilst the graphics card is hardly top line, it's far from shite and does have hdmi and dvi

  17. Been all through the manual dude, basically it says plug in either hdmi or dvi and that's it. As for telling PC to search, i can't get that far in
  18. Hey guys, help a brother out before i smash the fucking lot up!! so, im connecting my Nvidia GTX670 (i know, don't mock) to my Samsung 4K tv via HDMI. I get no picture at all except entry to the bios. If i boot into safe mode, i get a picture all the way to the Windows LogOn screen, and i can use the screen normally - until i leave safe mode, then the picture just disappears. If i connect via DVi- Out to the dedicated HDMI/DV-i port on the TV, i get absolutely nothing, not even the bios screen or boot logo. Now i think it's something to do with the resolution on the pc. As far as i know, i can't change the resolution on the TV, that's sorted automagically. Windows 7, x64, all drivers are up-to-date, including graphics. any thoughts would be appreciated Stool
  19. hey guys can somebody make a guide to installing COD 2 on Windows 7? I'm looking for a start to finish guide\description detailing the install from the original discs and in what order to add any patches (with the file names or links to get them). Because i'm fucking retarded. Thanks Stool
  20. You use what bro? acronis or Win 7 back up?
  21. Hey all Can windows 7 backup backup my files ONLY? I don't want a full back up everytime, just for it to back up files as they change? I've been using Acronis to do this but it uses it's own format which is all fine and dandy but i'd just like a back up of my tunage. Cheers Stool
  22. Fellas im still having issues with the installation of PB, i dunno if i'm thick as shit but it's causing me problems, i've tried following the guide but no go.... don't get the legacy thing at all. Im not sure it can be simplified any further but i'd appreciate it if somebody could!!! so i got DX installed got the game installed got the 1.3 patch installed Stool
