  1. As far as I know the bug was introduced into OpenSSL 1.0.1 and version through 1.0.1f http://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2014-0160 If I recall correctly OpenSSL is usually installed by default in most *nix distributions so I'd guess most web services using SSL would need to update. 2. Hmmm I might be down for this but I'd need to make sure the 'wife' doesn't have things for me to do. Which she usually does.
  3. If only I wasn't a lazy pos and returned my old(rented) Comcast modem. Or the Netflix DVD service I've never used(but haven't returned a DVD that I don't even remember the name of)... *sigh* Or quit smoking... God damn it Fir3MarshallBill. Seriously though I'm sure getting donations wouldn't be a big deal.
  4. Sweet. Thanks OddJob001. For what it's worth those logs there are at least a change of pace from the usual frankenstein logs we get to read.
  5. Hey guys! I like the ideas. I've had some pretty bad TS/Mumble/etc experiences when a channel gets crowded, although I'm not sure if we have to go as far as specific channels for squads or TS scripts. Perhaps just a label to define that a channel is reserved for 'game' related communications? It doesn't happen often on XI but there are times I wish people would just stfu so I can hear footsteps n such. Edit: Not to be a prick or anything but you typo'ed the thread topic
  6. Thanks all. Heh. Thanks. You have no idea. She beats me.
  7. http://www.bit-tech.net/news/gaming/2014/02/18/valve-dns-cache/1 Didn't look hard enough to pull the reddit thread itself but Gabe responded with more information about what VAC is actually doing and what they're doing with the data. The short of it is it sounds like they scrape your DNS cache data for domains linked to known hacks. Could they be gathering and using that data? Sure why not but so could any executable or javascript you run on your computer. If you have Java/Javascript enabled on your browser you're already leaking all your information online.
  8. HELLO! Some people call me Nate. I'm 35 and pretty much live on the computer. Lately I've been playing a lot of BF4. I work with and was coerced by one of your members to play on the XI server(s). I've joined up in TS and on the XI server for the last week or two and it's been a lot of fun! So much so that I figured I'd get over my hatred for forums and make a post. Wait... Why am I doing this again? Oh right. I'm an idiot. When I'm not playing games I...
