  1. Ordered a new GPU Gigabyte 280x OC 3bg for £150.00 Lets wait and see if thats sorts it out now... Really can't afford anything else this month. Thanks for the help gents.
  2. PSU installed and working... Well at least there isn't smoke coming out of the back... Still BSOD. This time it's IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. Will get a screenie, I hope. Bah!
  3. Zipped all the dump files into a .rar file attached, if this is what you mean. Minidump.rar
  4. I formatted and reinstalled on Tuesday and was still getting random errors. I've had a few different ones since that last screen shot. I'll look up how to create a dump file etc.
  5. Hmm ok. I was just going to have just windows on a 60gb and then buy a 240+ for everything else. I only use the computer for gaming to be honest and then a new 1TB 'normal' hard drive or all the other stuff which I don't need quick load times.
  6. Ok, not sure which PSU to buy. Looking at many articles on my issue a lot of people are indicating that it is my PSU that is at fault, followed by my HD then GFX. As i've been given permission to buy a new GFX then I I'm gonna buy one any way. Currently looking at this, I know it seems a little cheap and not what i expected. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Silent-750W-ATX-PC-Power-Supply-Unit-With-120-mm-Blue-Cooling-Fan-750-Watt-PSU-/281274106148?pt=UK_Computing_PowerSupplies_EH&hash=item417d3e4124 Some good reviews i've read so far but what are your thoughts.
  7. Death: I'll try that tonoght. I've removed and reseated the mem already but it I'll try everything else. Good call.
  8. now that i've done a fresh install of everything I'm getting random things happening like chrome says either i've timed out or ran out of memory... Just now I got a BSOD when I pressed ctrl+C. Very strange...
  9. i've done a complete format and install today. just updating everything and will see if it still crashes. just trying to rule as much as i can out before start spending. but to be honest i need to update any way. might just buy a new PSU, GPU and HDD
  10. Would getting the 280x be a better option then for slightly less money than the 7970? http://www.amazon.co.uk/VTX3D-280-X-Edition-Graphics-Express/dp/B00IY182ZM/ref=sr_1_5?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1412074921&sr=1-5&keywords=HD+7970
  11. ok, well there was no dust in the card or in the PSU, the computer is dust free. Time to make a decision on the GFX card I think.
  12. Sadly shipping in from the US makes it the same price as buying from the uk. Damn taxes! Thanks for the advice guys. I'll open up the card this afternoon and see what happens. Will need to buu some tiny screw drivers me thinks!
  13. Manual will be online. Just know your board ans google the manual.
  14. Looks like I'm gonna buy a new GPU £150.00 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-328-SP&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1982 Or http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-226-MS&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1982 Or http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-327-SP&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1982 What do you think?
  15. It will be for BF4 and future type games really. the US cards are far and way cheaper than in the UK. SUCKS!
  16. PCI-E will fit also your manual will tell you what you have.
  17. PCI-e 3.0 cards fit into PCI-E 2.0 slots, they are backwards compatible. You just might not get full performance from the card, that's all.
  18. can't get that far now. it's just the game that keeps crashing within minutes of being in the game. Not sure what to do... Either way I think i'm gonna buy a new GFX card. Any suggestions budget is £150.00 Thinking... http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-327-SP&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1982 or go slightly cheaper with http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-328-SP&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1982
