There are several ups and downs to using DNS, but there are a couple other packs which are on 1.7.10 aside from DNS. http://www.atlauncher.com/pack/BevosTechPack/ http://www.atlauncher.com/pack/SolitaryCraft/ I would vote for whatever is best for the server... performance-wise. -
Realized I had never actually closed the launcher, so I'm trying that without a reinstall. I'll try it with deleting folders and whatnot after that. Edit: Restarting the launcher worked by itself.

It just doesn't. Minecraft servers all show green right now. I tried the IP address as well. I've tried reinstalling as well with no result. Not sure what else I can do on my end...

Tier 1 requires just 1 block. Tier 2 requires a 3x3 and 2 high. Tier 3 requires 7x7 and 4 high. Tier 4 is 9x9 and 6 high. Tier 5 is at least 17x17 and 7 high, but fully upgraded requires 25x25 and 11 high. I think these are the right numbers, but they're based on memory and staring at the images on the ftb wiki.
