Dean, I also like to look at a person k/d ratio and when I spec, one thing that I look for is how comfortable the person is while standing out in the open.  IF they have a wallhack, they can see where other players are pretty easily, so they can stand around and not worry about being shot.  Granted, on some sniper-type maps, people can sit and camp with a sniper rifle and get ridiculous k/d ratios, but I am talking about people that are running around a map and not getting shot because they seem to know where people are.  With some smaller maps, you are going to get killed a lot, plain and simple.....if someone has too low a number of deaths, I think is as bad as an extra high number of kills. 

I think that we do a pretty good job of keeping the hacks out of the XI servers.  We have a lot of members that play on the servers regularly and they know how to get in touch with the admins, who will drop what they are doing to come in and take a look.  The streaming tools that we have in place also help considerably. 

Another thought.....and I am not even on the shitter right now..... The XI servers get a lot of traffic.  If you want to play Ace Mod or FTAG, you generally come to an XI server.  With that said, we are attracting better and better players all the time.  Not all of the really good players are hacks - they are just really good players.  As someone mentioned above, you learn maps and where people spawn and where people camp and after a while you can just shoot in the general direction of a bush and kill someone that you "think" might be hanging out there.

anyway, I got long winded.......my thoughts.

It really doesn't make sense to me the one person you would want to interrogate to get answers from and they shoot him while he was unarmed?The problem is whenever the government does anything recently they always seem to raise far more questions then resolve issues cleanly ..Other then that I'm glad he is dead and I hope this resolves and puts some amount of closure to those that have sacrificed and lost loved ones in this horrible mess..

can you imagine the circus media frenzy that would erupt if they took him alive. They would be accusations of torture... then the Libs would make sure to put him on trial creating nothing but distractions to for all of us.... meanwhile all the radicals in the middle east and even here would go nutz. For what information... unless we did torture him we would not get anything viable from him.

 

In my country even the most hated man, Mark Dutroux, got a fair trial.

And this after he had kidnapped, raped, disintegrated and killed a couple of (little) girls.

It was mayham when they where bringing him to court because you saw the crowd on the the street next to the corthouse who all smelled blood.

He even got a trail before a jury, and yes there was no way you could find people to sit on the jury who hadn't allready made up their mind to vote guilty but still he got a shot at a fair trail.

At this point he is just rotting away in his cell for as long as he shall live.

 

So why do I bring this up?

Because everybody get's a chance to prove his innocent (not that it is really necesarry in some cases) or to give at least a fair trail.

Well my guess is that you are not a sitting member of the gouverment so you would give the criticism to them if they brought him back alive or if it didn't go exactyl as plant ...

 

And still: if he was interrogated you allways had a chance to find out more about the way the taliban or al-qaida or some other religous fanatic group works.

Toot, I understand what you are saying, but I do not necessarily agree with you.  If you could be in a situation like that facing our SEAL team and held yourself back from the emotions and not popped a cap in the most hated man in US history, then I will concede that you are a better man then I am.  

OK, let's look at this realistically.  He admitted his guit and we know he was a murderer.  He would not have wanted to be taken alive nad held in a US prison, or Gitmo.    the realistic part of this is that he would haev stood trial and been found guilty and sentenced to death.  the SEALs just sped up the process.
