I had the same with my girlfriend copy of cod4 newly installed on a newly formatted computer. I manage to fix it First try with disabling your antivirus guard protection before connecting, it works for her. Then if it work in our case we use AVIRA ANTIVIR and in the setting, switch to expert mode then - guard --- Scan --- --- Exceptions then click on "..." and choose the 2 files pnkbstrA.exe and pnkbstrB.exe from c:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 (once at the time) and click ADD. It tells the antivirus to not check these processes and avoid the "loosing key packets error" This should fix the problem. anyway this error is due to a loss of packets between computer and server so any programs that can check the connection could be the reason, if it's not the antivirus it could be a firewall. Did you tried to plug a mic in ? I've got several errors with COD4 mine was not lauching at all and my girlfriend used to have game crashes, when you plug a mic it's fixed. Iksrats

Hello, I'm Iksrats, I Live in Belgium and I am 30 years old, I've been playing computer games since my first game platform SINCLAIR ZX SPECTRUM +, it's been a long time now. "Le Belge" made me discover your clan and server, I play mostly Freezetag on COD4. I usualy play BF2 with my girlfriend (she may come and play freezetag but she prefers BF2) and we also have some WOW periods but not for now.
