With Steam phasing out Macs for COD4 I finally broke down and bought a gaming PC. I had thought I could simply load Steam, log in as usual and install COD4 since I already own it. So far, everything went according to plan but two things have happened: 1) any of the XI servers I usually play on (Deathmatch, DM2 or Ace Mod) don't show up in my server list 2) my Punkbuster says it won't initialize and it's disabled. Are the two related?

I have installed COD MW4 from a DVD since Steam will no longer support Mac OSs next Feb. The install seemed to go as planned but the server list will not populate. I have seen several video on replacing this file or that but none are for Mac issues. Any clues or tips would be appreciated! I have until Feb 15 before Steam pulls the plug.

Greeting all, hope someone can help with this one. I've played COD4 for years on my 27in iMac. I know there aren't many Mac users in the COD world. Here's my issue - on the Xtreme Idiots server there's a group chat function that I can't get in on. I've tried three different mics: the computer's internal, a headphone jack mic/headset and a USB mic. All of these mics work when testing them in my Systems Prefs - all of them have worked on other servers that used Team Speak - all of them work when I test them within Steam. None of them work within COD4. Yes, I have my group chat ON, yes my record level is turned up, yes I have a key mapped to to engage chat. When I press my Z to talk I see an icon that tells me I'm engaging the chat function but no other players see me doing so. I've looked thru all kinds of forums trying to find an answer to this but I'm still searching.
