Ok, well then you could try right clicking on the High Definition Audio Device in the Device manager and set it to disabled to see if that resolves the conflict. Un-installing it will just end up with it being automatically re-installed the next time you reboot. If disabling it in the Device Manager doesn't work then I recommend that you disable it in the Bios to prevent any conflicts. Just checking but you did install the audio card drivers for the Audigy card right? I'm wondering what the "Unknown Device" is. If it's anything like the older Sound Blaster Audigy card that I had it was for a Game Port on the card that wasn't supported in Vista/Windows 7 so I always had to disable it.

The ATI High Definition Audio device is going to be the audio out on your ATI sound card. I'm guessing it has an HDMI out on it. The High Definition Audio Device is most likely your on board sound card built into the motherboard. If your no longer planning on using that because of the Sound Blaster Card you can go into the Bios and diable the OnBoard sound device to prevent any conficts. I'm guessing that the OnBoard sound and the Audigy card are conflicting and both are trying to take control of your input and output devices. Disabling the onboard sound may fix it. BTW...what operating system are you using?

I have a R.A.T. 7 mouse and I really like it. It's heavy to start with but you can remove weights if you like your mouse lighter. I like that fact that it has multiple ways to customize it from palm rests to the thumb rest being able to slide out as well as forward and back making it fit your hand better. The precision aim button can also be real handy if your sniping if you set it up correctly when adjusting the sensitivity. The only problem I had with it was I had to return my first one within a month and get a new one. Even though the almost the entire thing is made out of metal the pin used to attach the mouse wheel is plastic. Mine bust there rendering the mouse wheel almost useless but the replacement has been fine.

No big deal for me. Everything is working fine, I have my hard drives plugged into the 6GB SATA ports as recommended right now and I have absolutely zero overclocking issues right now. I've moderately overclocked this to 4.4Ghz on 1.26 V. I'm happy with it. Once the new boards are available hopefully NCIX will be sending the new ones out first and theyn getting the users to send the old ones back. (I know, I know.....wishful thinking) But they are close to me and shipping usually only takes a day so it might not be too bad.

Thanks for the info CplMOFO. I didn't think that vendors would be responding to this so quickly. Usually they drag there collective feet for a while before offering the consumers any info. This is a refreshing change to see lots of retailers already putting plans out for the public to see and what to do.

CplMOFO Yes that sux, But it's a great exemple of the reasons why you don't want to be an early adopter.... REALLY sad for people who jumped on the SB bandwagon...now, it's gonna be hard to trust the motherboards on the market, even the "revised" ones...there will be a lot of REV 1.1 motherboards....it will be important to be conscious when buying... Now ,I can't wait to hear horror stories of RMA and recalls to manufacturers....it's total crap, as INTEL SB was ready in July...they had a good 6 months to test everything!!!!!!!!!!!! It is what it is. I'm one of the early adopters and will have to find out what the replacement process is when it is announced. I hate to say it, but all technology comes with some risk of not working as each manufacturer has acceptable failure limits when it comes to making products. In this case Intel has decided to not take a chance and just replace all the products released to this point. I would rather have that then have them hide it from the public and then try to cover it up once the problem is found out. For all the AMD fans out there (and I am not an Intel nor am I an AMD fanboy as I have used both) what will happen if Bulldozer comes out and AMD encounters a similar problem if that were to happen. Will that be acceptable even though it's not for Intel? Remember people, these companies are making this product with the cheapest way they can. Being an early adopter of technology means you have to accept the fact that you may get lemons in the beginning. Manufacturers use consumers as the real testing platform to work the bugs out.

CplMOFO Shrapnel, how do you like your ASUS 27" display? Just got it today. It's nice but I miss one of the features of my old Samsung monitor which is the automatic brightness adjustment based on what was on the screen. Other than that the colour looks ok and there is very little backlight bleeding along the edges.

Kemble My 2600K, Asus P8P67 Pro, and 8gb 1600 DDR3 is running real real real nice. I'm now loading into new map rotations as the 1st or 2nd person in. Before with my duo core I wouldn't load in until someone had 2-3 kills already. I'm also noticing it in my scores as well, no more lag when I turn around corners or when someone runs around the corner on me. I know what you mean as I had the same issues that you were having but all is good now.

Ok, so the rig is now updated and all I can say is it went smooth like a fine scotch. I'm not even trying to OC it yet and it's faster than my OC'd e8500 from before. I had no problems with memory settings but I did manually set them in the bios. The 9900 max cooler works great as the system idles at about 28 degrees but I really haven't put it under any load yet for any length of time to see how high it gets. It is really cool though seeing 8 cores with the hyperthreading enabled, not that may programs take advantage of that yet. Oh, and BO multiplayer games load in less than 10 seconds now where I used to wait 30 - 45 just to get into the game at times and it is super smooth right now. Will post more info once I get a little more playing with this thing done.

CplMOFO Seen! The MAX seems alright and got positive reviews... Now, it seems ASUS is having issues with their motherboards on the Sand platform...mosty memory settings issues...BIOS revisions galore...it's hard to be a early adopter! I'm waiting another few weeks to see how it pans out.. I will let you know how it goes tomorrow. The RAM I ordered finally arrived so I plan on ripping out my old board and installing the new one. I think I will run it at stock settings for the first bit to get a feel for it, then start OC'ing it to see how it does.

CplMOFO Nice! What did you choose for a heatsink? The Deluxe is a nice board! You're all set! I've picked up the Zalman CNPS 9900 Max heatsink for this. I currenty have a Thermalright TRUE Black 120 Rev.C CPU Heatsink but had to modify the 200 mm fan on the side of my case to make it fit. Since the proc is in a different spot from my current mobo it means more mods which I don't want to do. I got the Zalman as it's not as tall and hopefully will fit better.

I ordered the Core i7 2600k proc, ASUS P8P67 Deluxe mobo and 8GB G Skill 1600 7-8-7-24 RAM on Sunday. Should be a slight step up from my OC'd e8500 running at 4.15 Ghz. Can't wait to get the new parts to see how things run. Should be cool.

I usually end up finding your claymores more than anything but you've done a good job catching a few of my bullets so far with your skull so we could consider it even.

I wanted to make a proper introduction on the forums. I created an account quite a while back but shortly afterwards took a break from gaming on my PC. I work in the IT industry and found myself not even wanting to be on my PC for a while since I spend all day working on them. Anyways, I live in Canada and found XI through Sun Tzu whom I used to game with elsewhere. I've been enjoying the XI Black Ops servers for the last couple of weeks even though I tend to be eating more of the bullets than dishing them out. I used to be a decent COD player but I guess a year off has made me a little rusty. 8^)
