  3. @@wildbill72 well you were right about dumps not being enable, something about kernel was selected..... as you can see from the pic, no dump report...... so i guess it's just a matter of waiting? whilst i wait for the inevitable, do you have any idea why the program i was using when it crashed won't run from the c: SSD drive?
  4. @@wildbill72 hey bill, i can't find that anywhere, could i have deleted it when i used cc cleaner?, in fact there's no folder /minidump......... is it only created when it makes a dump?
  5. @@Sonovabich - think i can rule that out mate, this was a complete fresh install, all genuine programs that i've been using for over a year, i can rule out any updates for those programs to because i don't install updates for at least 6 months because of glitches etc - think vista, ME etc looooool. such a new install i only had 8 programs installed so the list of culprits if any is pretty short... cheers dude
  6. @@wildbill72 i'd heard the i7's were far better with temps but wasn't sure how high it should go before i start to panic.... yep, if i remember it created a dump file but where would i find it? @@TecHnOBoY, can't remember the content of the bluescreen and no pic sadly - if it happens again i'll grab one. That bloody SSD is less than a year old, i thought they were meant to be the dogs bollox? i've been running that program that i think caused the bluescreen for 3 hours now, temp has been rock steady at 51c
  7. sup i was running a program quite intensively yesterday, happened to glance at my temps and noticed it said cpu was 58c. i have no idea wether thats hot or not for a cpu but it's definitely the hottest i've seen my machine and im guessing it was around that temp for at least 2 hours. anyway a few minutes later it bluescreened, shut down then restarted properly, however the program i was using would not start, just after windows error reporting sent a report, mentioning the program i was using. i checked to see if the program i'd been using had created an error log but it hadn't. when i tried to start it, the hdd light went nuts, like it was trying to start but it never did. looked in task manager, couldn't see anything related. so i try to repair the program by reinstalling it, nothing. so i uninstall it, reinstall it which appears to go ok, same problem, program won't start. get pissed off, uninstall use CC Clean and regedit to remove everything i can find, reinstall, still wont start. as a last resort i install it to a different hard drive and it works fine. wtf? i report it to the developer, they email back and say it sounds like the HDD is on the way out. Not sure about that, everything else works fine. this was on a 1 day old fresh install of windows, no new hardware, no new drivers. could it really be the SSD dying? and what is a reasonable temperature? i'm using a liquid cooled system with i7 processor overclocked to about 20%. I'd really like to keep the program running from the C drive. Any suggestions? thanks ladies :-O
  8. I'm not entirely sure i've made my problem clear, so here goes..... As you can see in the folder tree, i'm accessing the folders in the main view from the D drive. I never use Libraries. The folders in the pictures are a few of whats left, i did have over 10,000 folders all looking like the "PN'd" one. That particular folder contains a sub folder called "Disc 1" It also contains the artwork for that album, in this case Kiss, called Front, Back, Disc, Inlay. It also contains a copy of the "Front", which has been renamed "Folder" thus giving me the picture on the folder. The folder above it, "Mastermix-TV etc" contains only MP3 files which have not yet been tagged so the files are represented with the standard .mp3 icon. It also contains a single .jpg file called "cover", so as you can see, by simply looking at the folder, i can tell immeadiately that that folder/album has not been tagged because it shows the mp3 icon as well as the "cover" (it also looks pretty :-) ) Were i to change the name of that jpg filename to "Folder", it would show ONLY that picture. Currently, practically all my folders now look like the folder "MediaGo" which is really pissing me off.....

  10. where is this icon folder Loader? i usually just save a copy of the front cover and call it "folder", it then shows on the folder.
  11. this is the view i have...... what you should be seeing on each of those folders is a picture of the album artwork, they've literally just disappeared......

  13. Hey all I had my entire music collection nice set up on my pc, each individual folder represents one album, the folder showed the front cover of whatever the album was. Over the last day or two i've noticed that each time i access any folder, they no longer show the album cover, further, in the folder, there's a sub folder called disc1, disc 2 etc, these also showed the files inside as a front cover. given that i have over 10,000 albums, all following that format, i'm hoping theres nothing going on worse than a setting. i've gone to control panel, folder options but can't see anything that has changed....... somebody give us a clue?!1 cheers Stool

  16. Hey Loader, 1, launch via shortcut. 2, been unable to connect to no servers except something called "we die a lot". Can't even do that now! 3, Windows Pro 7 64 4, run as admin in compatible xp mode. This was installed on a fresh install of Windows. Had lots of problems from the outset, so done a system restore to before I installed Cod. Not at home now but will defrag the game asap and report back. Thanks man

HELP!!! getting all kinds of wierd shit. try to fire up UO, get an error message "game code (UO_UI_MP_x86.DLL failed pure server check" it then kicks the game into COD 1. if i try to fire up COD 1, i get "fatal error, 1 sound file is missing or in bad format." then kicks me out to COD Console with this.......   19. hey guys i just had to format my machine, ive reinstalled yes COD & UO, installed PB and it appears it no longer supports these games, in fact when i try to add a game to it, it only has WAW and COD 4. any ideas? Stool
