Can anyone provide me with the CoD 4 Alpha Build 253? I really need it for my rgh. I understand that this is a very exclusive build but I really need it. I have RGLoader on my RGH and I just need this build. I will not supply it to anyone else and this is for modding. If I can get this build that would be awesome. Hi Everyone, I'm wondering if anyone has run across this problem and if so, were you able to conquer it? I have just recently acquired an ASUS GTX460 graphics card and figured I'd throw it in my system because it was a helluva lot better than the one I was running. The ASUS card has two DVI outputs and one mini HDMI. I have it connected to a 42" LG HDTV (I know huh! lol) from DVI-1 to an HDMI adapter then to the TV with an HDMI cable. The problem occurs because it seems this particular video card (and maybe they do that now I dunno) includes on board audio so the video and sound is piped directly through the card to the display and the sound works fine there. It was an easy fix to just hook my computer speakers to the headphone jack to the TV and voila it rocks! The problem occurs when I go to play COD 4 because there is no detectable mic, the game will crash every time! I've had this problem before with COD 4 and if I disable the mic in Windows or unplug it, the game crashes. Right now I'm dead in the water and the game won't even start in safe mode so I could maybe disable voice chat and see if that doesn't help. Because the video card installs it's own audio drivers, it basically disables the motherboard on board audio and therefore I have no sound coming from the motherboard on the computer and the mic doesn't work either. They all show up in Windows 7 but Windows really won't let ya do much with em. With the motherboard sound before, it would display when the speakers were connected or not or whether a mic was connected to the front panel or rear panel and so forth. Now it just shows them as disconnected devices and if they are disconnected there is no functionality obviously in Windows and I know it's because the video card drivers have pretty much disabled any sound coming out of or going into the motherboard audio. My BIOS doesn't give me the option to pick which audio I want to use. It only allows me to enable or disable the on board audio of the motherboard and I've tried that. I've removed all the drivers for both the graphics card (including the audio drivers that install separately) and the motherboard audio drivers, re installed the motherboard audio drivers and still no luck. The graphics card even in it's diminished state still supersedes any other audio device. I'm thinking my options are: 1) See if there is an update and flash the BIOS which I've never done before and really don't want to screw up Windows which I'm guessing it will do. 2) Go back to my original setup which the graphics sucked on but at least I could play the game. 3) Install a separate sound card (which I don't have) and I'm not sure if that would work anyway 4) Re install the game itself with my computers new configuration 5) Pray to the computer gods for a patch 6) Maybe just take up basket weaving. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated as long as they're constructive. I was just wondering if anyone else has run into this situation and if so, what was your solution? I would love to continue to be able to use this graphics card and I really just wanna get back to doing some killing. I'm running an ASUS X58 Sabertooth Motherboard, an Intel i950 Processor @ 3.07Ghz, 8GB RAM, and Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit.
