The addition of sour cream gave this cake a wonderful flavor, elevating it beyond your pedestrian pound cake. A little underdone...will bake it for the full hour next time. Changes I made to the recipe are: added 1 tsp. vanilla, 1/2 tsp. salt, used 1 cup sugar instead of 1-1/2 cups.
