 All of a sudden my games are lagging/ skipping,upgraded the drivers took out the mouse driver. Does it in multiplayer or single game.  I was wondering if my video card is going.  Embarassed

thats a real wierd one, my mate had that in COD UO, there seemed to be lag in between moving the mouse and movement on the screen.  Never got to the bottom of it, formatted hdd, new install, new card & drivers and it still happened.. Never played it since...bummer ;(

How many icons or folder you have on your desktop? also reduce the number of BHO (browser helper objects or toolbars) you have.

The windows environ allows 512k for mapping such obects. After that it has to reload every object over and over.

Do you have a custom rig? Might be a bad memory stick. Pull one and check the other. BE SURE TO GROUND YOURSELF AGAINST THE CASE! Or run memtest from majorgeeks.com.

 

Could also be swap file limitations.
