So we had a discussion about sound stuff.

So i thought i would share my newest... acquirement.

So first off, i'm a music nerd. Not the one making music but a consumer of music. On top of that i like expensive shit - just because i'm able to buy expensive shit.

So here we go.
First out a new pair of headphones was needed. I have used a pair of BF4 Limited edition blackshark headset from Razer a while. It is a good headset, well sounding, really bass heavy.

But razer sucks balls, and getting replacement parts for these have been quite elusive. First the boom mic died. So i have been using a webcam mic for ts audio. and then the foam padding

just decided to leave my headset all together.

So Jay80_NL here on the forum gave me a hint of a mic that would suffice. So first out is the Blue Yeti Blackout mic. ( http://www.bluemic.com/yeti/ )

Seems good, i will prob. be able to use it for youtubing and other stuff as well.

Secondary i needed a pair of good cans, and i have been oogling the Grado PS500e, for the past year or so. But its crazy expensive here in Sweden, about 750 euro.

So i went with its little brother, the Grado SR325e instead. Its a similar designed headphone with full range and an open baffle design. ( http://www.gradolabs.com/headphones/prestige-series )

And here is a better review of these headphones:

And then finally we need a better way to deliver sound to my new headphones. A neutral dac with a headphone amp is a neat thing to have for this. I went with the JDS Labs O2+ODAC

as its considered one of the best in its class ( http://www.jdslabs.com/products/48/o2-odac-combo/ )

So why not a new pair of headset with integrated mic.. well headsets suck for music, and i have broken like 7 pairs in 5 years. ;)
