A 80 year old war Veteran comes through an airport in France,

he is greeted by a very stern Security officer.

The officer says "Do you have your papers, Passport ETC"

The man takes a few minutes searching through his stuff and eventually retrieves his passport. 

The stern guard asks, "Have you been to France before" to which the man replies "Yes during the war"

the guard says "When you enter France it is customary to show your passport to a french official"

 

The man Replies "Well the last time i was here, If i had seen a Frenchman i would have gladly shown it to him"
