  1. If your looking for files with Vista/Win7 and UAC turned on then they will be in a different location, once you get to your program files folder, look for a button at the top of your window that says "Compatability Files", hit that and it will take you to the Virtual Store folder where you will find all the map files.

  2. I agree with that fact that he needs help

  3. Wild guess I would say you both use Windows 7 with User Account Control (UAC) enabled,

Xfire requires elevated administrator permissions to run (The small yellow box that appears asking for permissions when you start xfire), so this means that any program that is started/spawned by xfire will also inherit the administrator permissions when run,

This is why you lose your settings because when you run a program as an Administrator, it doesn't use the same directory on your PC to store/read settings files, so as far as te game is concerned, you have no settings,

Sadly, the only solution to this is to either turn off UAC in your account settings on your PC which is not really advisable because it's there for security reasons, or start the game by another method like HLSW or directly from your desktop shortcut,

  4. There is a feature in the downloader called "housekeeping" if you use it, this feature will remove any files from your machine that are no longer used by our game servers,

Also, there is a setting in the downloader for comparing the file size that you have on your machine against the file size on the redirect server too, this is also quite handly for keeping up to date with any modified or changed map packs for COD2

  5. The website themes are a mixture of image sprites that get arranged on the page using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS),

If your competent in CSS3 then thats a bonus,

If you have no idea what CSS is then probably the best thing you can do is make a mock up layered PSD in photoshop that shows exactly how you want it to look, this means the forum pages, home page and probably best to do a blank page too, then email it to me and I can cut it out and apply the needed css to style the theme as we need it,

You can download the BFBC2 Theme from HERE to give you an idea of how it's structured and how the image sprites work, all the images for the BFBC2 theme are in a sub directory called "img"

Looking forwards to seeing what you guys come up with :)
