I'm pretty sure i have the docsis 3.0 cable modem as it's the only one that is compatible with my internet package from my ISP. (50 Mbps)

I have cable. The modem itself is < 1 years old (when I upgraded my internet package they gave me a brand new modem. I'll have to take a picture of it). The router is about a year old and the cable to the router is anywhere from 2-4 years old (not entirely sure). I'll have to look at the pictures and products you linked to double check because you fucking IT guys speak a different language! (Maybe one day I'll get my second undergrad degree in IT and be able to know all the lingo.

Nope the only thing that's wireless is laptop, second computer, xbox, ps3, and tv upstairs... Most of those are off most of the time. Guess I'll be buying a new cable cord as well when I have the opportunity.

I've done that with WoW and it didn't make a difference. I'll go ahead and do it though just in case. It won't be til later.

Usually 50-65. I know I'm not going to the easy coast I was just using it as a reference that at times there is a backlog in data with other ISP that it can definitely be hard to track down. Going from Dallas to Wichita sounds normal for me as that's usually the path it takes. Man you'd have to ask that question regarding a router .... It's a belkin I believe that was one of the most expensive ones toget $200-300. I'm going to do another nerdy round of stuff when I get home to rule Out router/modem.... And I just want it be known that I think that it may have to do with the cable lines in my apt (the apartments were built in the 1980s and I don't think they've updated the lines when they were first out in in the 90s. I've had my ISP techs tell this to me directly that the lines are 20 years old so it maybe a factor, however, I'm not convinced why this issue would just suddenly show up after being on the XI server for 5 months. Ps I think they are dbags and are probably throttling the connection.

No I'm not on a military base etc. I'm in an apartment. I haven't had this issue until last few days which is weird. My setup is my modem it connects to my router and then I'm hard wired to my router. I do believe that there maybe a backlog somewhere on the hops to the Chicago center (I had an issue in WoW where there was backlogs going to their NY database which caused high latency. The only people that could fix it was Blizzard and the shitty eastern us internet companies that had the backlog. I'm thinking due to the recent DDOS attacks that maybe there is a backlog and all that but I'm going on assumption. I was also fine the rest of the night last night which is weird however had a few spikes. Anyways I'll post the updated Ping.txt when I get on. Thanks odd!

Thanks Oddjob. Do I have to be running the program when the game is running? I appreciate you being so lenient. I know people don't like to play with high pingers and it can be frustrating so I don't want to ruin others fun. I'll let ya know .

Hi guys, I love playing on the server and all, but I think I am going to have to take a break for a while. I've been having some recent issues with having a high ping on the server. I am typically running at around 50-60 ms in ping, but recently it has shot up to 155+. I haven't found the source of the high ping, but it doesn't seem to be affecting my experience on other servers (I have normal pings there). I don't want Oddjob or any admins to add me to the whitelist because I feel that I would either handicap myself or others with such a high ping, plus it makes the playing experience not fun. I'll still attempt to play etc. but I am getting kicked more and more and it has me frustrated. These are the steps that I have done so far. - Reset router and modem - Flush DNS etc. These are the two things that I know for sure can significantly help. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. Thanks!

Everyone says acu lol but it really stands for the university that I attended (Abilene Christian University), and we are known as the wildcats (cats) and the 07 is from the year I created the account (I attended Undergraduate from 06-10). I use it for XBL and for Origin. I suck with names so I haven't really decided to change it and if I did I don't know what I would change it to as I suck with coming up with names lol.
