Damit adjusted the server settings yesterday in attempts to get the server populated again. It's the adaptive server settings and changes to 32 when there is 32 and less and will change to 64 when 33+. Also commander is re-enabled and CTF taking out of the rotation. There needs to be a player base before adding it back IMO. I talked to Damit and Caliber extensively yesterday as I know it's frustrating to the admin team and us regulars not having a populated server.

I don't know too much about FRAPS. I know with OBS you have to stream to twitch and then manually edit the video and upload it from there. It usually takes about 5-15 minutes. That sucks man. I have a GTX 680 and Shadowplay kills my FPS. Also shadowplay will save to your HDD.

Shadowplay from Nvidia (if you have the card) should do okay, but for my build it drops my fps to 30. Open Broadcast Software (OBS) is good and I used it to stream raids when I played WoW. This will go to your twitch account/stream and doesn't use too much bandwidth (if I remember correctly). From your twitch account you can save broadcasts etc. and upload them to youtube. You can always get with me and we can talk some more bud.

lol yeah someone asked about if I had a ssd at the beginning... Spike wanted d so we went there and capped it after they capped it... Jumped in the attack helo and took out like a full squad in the transport that was just sitting on the dish at C. Probably most hiliarious thing I've seen since it was a sitting duck. Def and I then took out one tank and bailed and then I got about two to three more kills lol. It was all pretty quick in that time span and couldn't help but laugh lol.

It's multiplayer only, no campaign.

Ctf for me. We've been playing without commanders for a while and it's been nice. It allows for more tactical gameplay and you don't have the "wall hacks" that commander offers (I.e.nearly 24/7 uav.) Merc, hypnotik, and I played on a server with commander enabled and there was only one commander (which is how it usually is). This puts another team at a significant disadvantage. Soooo IMO CTF, plus we've gotten some epic games lately.

You stated to change the netcode and go back to BF3 netcode. It had it's own issues which I was commenting on that even that had its own issues. I do agree with your points though that they tend to break more things when attempting to fix things. Alot of it is annoyance for us as well (kill cam etc. being broken). I wouldn't even mind if they shut down all servers for a month or two to fix the game, but then again we saw what happened after beta. I know we all don't play the same game modes so I do understand the frustration regarding the sound and from my understanding has been around since at least the 1/31 patch which is ridiculous. There's always nostalgia for past games (ofc I do it too so I am just as guilty). Like I said right now I enjoy playing this with fellow XI members and people that normally play on the server (Conquest 64) and I enjoy chatting with them on TS.

The DX error is a perfectly resolvable thing yourself. Obviously most people don't keep drivers etc. up to date so yes it is your fault and no it isn't fixing the game yourself it's called keeping your PC nice. I do have issues with being shot behind cover, but obviously you didn't read my response very clearly. I don't play TDM and if I did I would shoot myself or go play that pitiful game COD: Ghosts. No I'm not, but I happen to enjoy the company of fellow XI members and the people that play on the servers. As for the buying of EA games, I don't buy them very often (on Origin I only have SWTOR, BF4 and Crysis 3). Obviously you think you are very clever in trying to get me in a "gotcha moment". There is flaws to this game, but you have a reading comprehension issue just like half the shit that is posted on battlelog forums.

Yet you fail to mention that BF3 had its share of "netcode" issues that took at least up to a year-year in a half to resolve. I'm not here to induce any fighting whatsoever, but I find it ironic that you would say BF3 had this perfect "netcode". As far as what Patrick Bach says he is just sugar coating shit and I think it's retarded. EA won't get new servers so the send "tick rate" will stay the same and there maybe tweaks for them to do regarding "netcode" unless they are actually working on getting this game out of Beta. I've put in a lot of hours in this game just to see the damnest things. Do I still enjoy playing this game with idiots like Damit? I sure do . So that's where I've drawn the line. If I can make friends, have a good time, and be an idiot myself then we are all good . Will I buy another BF, Dice, or EA Game ? Maybe, but I know for sure I don't pre-order unless I know. BF4 was a crap shoot I guess and I could say I won. I will say though since I've gotten this game during Thanksgiving, I've had very few issues except a few random crashes and the DX error, however, looked it up and resolved it. By the way Odd, there was MAG on PS3 back a few years ago that had 256 players. I know we play on PC's but I think that is quite a feat. I just think developers are very short sighted and think that not many people want to play with large amounts of players. It would be awesome if BF4 supported 128 or so . Now that's all out WAR!

Yes I played after you posted this and I could see a millions of a difference. You still get the bullet deviation from suppression but the blur is not there. It should increase playability

Well that's good news. Like I stated though there were a lot of servers that went down so I expected it to be either EA being dumb or a DDOS somewhere.

Last night at around 9:15-9:30 cst several servers crashed. There was a lot of stuttering and rubber banding before the crash and server died out. Game mode: conquest large. Map: Silk Road

Still hasn't resolved itself .

Yeah I went to the official forums and the patch notes are up. I read the R27 server update and it stated something along the lines of the error of 2nd assault maps crashing when being loaded was addressed. Let's hope the server and client patch helped

I can't quote from my phone but thank you for the information Odd. My limited research on the different providers had me leaning that NFO was slightly better but you definitely have more information at hand than I do and I definitely trust your judgement. It could very well be the relation to 2nd assault. It makes me sad cuz I truly love playing on the server.

Yup and the server crashed again just now. It just kind of turns people off to the idea of anticipating if the server is going to crash or not.
