In order to work as advertised, CSN HAS to be installed in the same path where you installed Crysis Wars. You can do so by choosing Custom installation and providing CSN with the location of the game folder when asked - that's all. Just keep in mind that the CSN download link always contains the latest version of the client (now 1003). Former versions will not work. Also, installing the game and then directly the 1.5 patch is all that's needed before installing CSN - no 1.3 patch or earlier versions are needed. Also, make sure you DO NOT have any third party mod, connect tool, or patches already installed or CSN may not load/work correctly. For instance, many players tried germancrysis patch, which once installed will prevent CSN to work properly. That patch cannot simply be removed because it modifies the game files - the only way to get rid of it is to reinstall the game. If something went wrong to keep tinkering will only create more issues. The safest way to proceed is uninstalling Crysis Wars, its patch and CSN and reinstall the game, the patch 1.5 and CSN (giving the installer the game correct path) in that order.

No, it is not germancrysis patch. That patch will modify your Crysis Wars installation and install EX mod, and that is not what you need to play in XI servers, which are powered by CSN (CryServ Network) and not germancrysis. If you already installed german crysis patch CSN will not work, and you'll need to uninstall and reinstall Crysis Wars in order to remove it, because that patch modifies both the game .pak files and its executables and cannot be removed without compromising the game. If that's the case do the following: Uninstall and reinstall Crysis Wars, install the official patch 1.5, and install CSN client latest version (1003) from the link attached below. Choose custom installation and CSN installer will ask you to locate the same path where you installed Crysis Wars. Finish the installation, run the game from any of the 4 links CSN will have created in your desktop and click on multiplayer game. If you are seeing the gamespy login it means that you either didn't install CSN or didn't give CSN the correct path where you installed Crysis Wars. If the game is installed through steam or under another disc and folder you need to install CSN choosing Custom settings and provide the tool with the correct path of the game. CSN, aka CrysisServ Network, which is the connect tool needed to see and join Crysis Wars servers that replaces gamespy in all its intents and purposes. Yes, that's the only "issue" that keeps occurring to those few who forget that CSN must be installed in the same /Crysis Wars game original path. As eidolonFIRE mentioned above, Steam does install the game under its own folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common (when in C:). When installing CSN make sure you point the installer to the correct library disc/folder where steam installed the game.

Make sure you installed CryServ Netowrk in the correct path. It goes in /Crysis Wars folder. If you installed Crysis Wars in another disc or folder you must point the installer to that path. The 4 links the installer creates provide compatibility with various systems (for instance those with AMD CPU won't be able to run the game at 32bit , hence the 64bit link). All the links do basically the same thing. Also remember that in order to work properly CSN needs Crysis Wars patch 1.5 installed. We have finally reached an agreement with TITAN, and once the beta phase is concluded, SSM and CSN server files will be released to the public for free. We need to revamp people's interest for Crysis Wars, which sudden death was caused by GameSpy shut down. This ESL tournament is a semi-official attempt to revive a game that still has so much to offer. Everyone can join and play, there aren't any application fees or cost, and the final prize is almost 100 bucks. A successful tournament will give Crysis Wars and all the teams, clans, and communities involved a lot of exposure, which is in my view a win-win scenario
