I think the flavour thing is common.....I have to rotate my flavours on a regular basis......I think its a human condition not a juice or mod problem.....I have found that the flavour thingy occured long before I rebuilt coils n things................

Hiya Johnny.....that insulator thingy seems to make no difference at all...i tried exactly as you did...i think it is only there to stop one wire from touching the side so that it will run staraight to the middle connection.......but with or without it I have had no shorts or problems.... I know what you mean about the 2.4 coils that seems to be my average resistance and I have tried a smaller wire and small coil of about 1.4 ohm...is ok not much vape... I just tried some wool as a wick....2 strands of thick wool.....but it worked for alittle bit then tasted like shit...... I have not ordered any proper 3mm silica wick but I am going to soon...also I am not sure what wire works best ...so I am gonna order a few types...Kantral, nichrome and the other one I found is titanium...so i will give that a try..... http://www.stealthvape.co.uk/rebuildable-supplies UK link to wire and silica etc

have now tried and succeeded with recoiling the CE4 and my vivi nova.........much better....but I want to get some titanium wire and try that and some more proper 3mm silica rope wick...... not gonna bother with stainless steel wicking as that is where I think you get the most coil and hot spot problems and loving the flavour from the vivi and ce4.....

wow gonna try that one too....my rebuilt ce4 is still working a treat...much better flavour than original................

COULDNT WAIT FOR ME NEW HEADS SO.......FOUND AND OLD CE4...TOOK IT APART....EASYILY....USED A BIT OF FIBRE GLASS ROPE(NOT IDEAL) WRAPPED NEW COIL....1.8 OHMS....FROM 32SWG(.2MM) KANTRAL...AND HEY PRESTO....... SWEET VAPE AND NICE TASTE...EASY PEASY.........NOW HOT SPOTS TO CARE ABOUT..........REALLY REALLY EASY.........WORKED ON CE4 SO GONNA REBUILD ME VIVI NOVA COILS TOO...... OMG....SO EASY...AND GREAT THANKS JOHNNY....GLAD YOU GOT THE BUG AND JOINED US......THIS REALLY IS THE ONLY PLACE TO LEARN.......

IF YOU ARE NEW TO VAPING THEN I SUGGEST THE SAME AS HEMPS...EGO TYPE BATTERY AND CE4 REBUILABLES OR THE VIV NOVA WITH THE 1.8 OHM COIL.....THEN FIND YOURSELF THE RIGHT EJUICE TO SUIT.....ONCE AGAIN I THINK WHEN YOU START GO FOR AT LEAST THE 24MG NICOTINE IN WHATEVER FLAVOUR YOU FANCY....... I HAVE TRIED MANY MANY FLAVOURS AND HAVE FOUND RY4 TO BE VERY PLEASANT AND RECENTLY I HAVE FOUND A FLAVOUR CALLED 555 BOTH FROM AN ENGLISH SUPPLIER CALLED VAPE ESCAPE.... THERE ARE LOADS OF MODS AND THINGS BUT FOR A SIMPLE NON COMPLEX SATISFING ALTERNATIVE WITH VERY LOW RUNNING COSTS THE CE4 AND VIVI NOVA ARE FANTASTIC VALUE AND EASY TO USE AND REPAIR..... THE MAGA RBA KIT ABOVE IS THE SAME AS MY REBUILABLE AND ALTHOUGH IF YOU GET IT TO WORK ITS GREAT I STILL FIND THAT I GET FREQUENT COIL HOT SPOTS AND COIL FAULTS AND ALWAYS GO BACK TO THE EASY CARTOMISERS RATHER THAN BOTHERING TO TRY TO FIX THEM........

Another thought for HEMPS......now you owe me......... maybe when I am at the end of your gun in FTAG...you could pause and think alittle before you fkin shoot me...lol

after the start up cost, itll be much cheaper. i did 400 vapes yesterday (which would be like smoking 1 pack, 17-20 puffs to smoke reg cig)and maybe went threw about .2 ml which is about 15 cents(.09 pounds) of juice. add the cost of the clearomizers $2.50 (1.55 pounds) each and with good maintenance should last a month or so, and you add it all up and you get = cheap!! yesterday was my 1st day vaping. went threw a couple flavors in the sample pack before i found one that was to my liking. just a wee bit of withdraw. maybe from all the other chemicals you not getting anymore. but overall im very happy with it, and itll be better for my health in the long run. coolmd you started this post and with help of other Idiots convinced me to buy this and get away from smoking! Thanks a lot Friends!! you guys Rock! Damn Glad I did start this......and damn good HEMPS that we have helped you to help yourself......GOOD START...so keep it up... ps love the HEMPS XI on your MOD/PV

Well update time.......finally got a working coil.........no shorts, no hotspots...think this was achieved by more wick burning...after rollin and anodising I then juiced and burnt about 4 or 5 times......this appeared to have the desired effect....1 hot spot....twisted the wick alittle and hey presto.......worked a treat......vaped my normal tipple at 6-7w....flavour good , vape amount ok..not tremendous........still like my CE4 better for juice taste and vape....oh well....lol....if any of you wanna genesis clone..just pop over to the UK. lol

WOW THIS HAS CERTAINLY TURNED INTO A PROPER FORUM THREAD>>>>(didnt see that coming) A new COIL UPDATE.....after virtually giving up on this silly rebuilable thingy and hot spots etc...I tried again...(british bulldog spirit..lol) I watched the drill bit method and decided that was the one for me...raided my toolbox...found a tiny screwdriver not a drill bit and preceeded to have a go....... when I had finished the coil I gently removed the screwdriver and then inserted my anodised mesh thingy....put a couple of drips on it and as if like magic........IT ACTUALY WORKED>>>>>>>>>>>>> YES OH YES It didnt burn with hot spots and I began to vape...the first two or three puffs were great.....proper taste and vape...mmmmm after alittle more intensive use I found the coil to still be working fine but the mesh not wicking enough.......think i rolled it abit to tight...... BUT onwards and upwards will try to make a new mesh / wick laters and trying not to damage my perfectly performin coil...... Just a not...when I first filled the coil I did gentle heating starting at a very low voltage say 3v for a few seconds and ramped it up slowly to about 4.2v...but I find it vapes well at between 3.2-3.6 volts...maybe even better with a new less tight wick.... I will let you know how that goes... A NOTE FOR HEMPS>>>>>>>> Chuck the analogues go digital......with a little willpower you will never look back......(see ya in game)..stop shooting me.......it fkin anoying..lol x x x

Well just an update.......tried again for 2 hours........I anodised the mesh by heating it cherry red all over on my cooker...quenched it in cold water...did this a couple of times.....tried numerous coil wraps...some tight..some not so tight...and still get a hot spot which burns out the wire between the centre post and the top coil....even when it didnt appear to glow and get hot...it did after a couple of draws even at low voltage...3-3.5 volts.....so I am gonna try one more and then gonna give up......the video above the wire seems thicker than my wire...i have .16 .18 and .2 gauge in the kit.........also i am gonna retry and wind the voltage up more slowly as the guy in the video says...DAMN THING...lol

Sorry forgot to mention got the clear and stainlesd tanks in the pack...didnt know that would get both...just came in the box
