  1. Hey cool can't wait to try it tomorrow! I made a list a few pages ago of map suggestions (crossing snipe, reflection; look back), and I wouldn't mind adding sang9 aimgauss, EQ desert aim even if ephemerally. Today was fun though ; )

I myself will be trying out the PS loadouts We should have training sessions in game to practice implementing these *amazing* lessons. And of course, I would be willing to give a helping hand when needed

  6. Just remembered one of my old favorites: AZTEC!!! Yeahh; wouldn't mind playing that beautiful map again.
  7. Also, I would strongly recommend changing/removing Most Wanted. It's a nuisance for a 10 kill-spree. I normally find myself giving "free-kills" at 9 because it's not worth letting the other team score the inevitable extra points by killing me. We should either: 1) Raise Most Wanted to 12 kills; this will stop campers/unfair players without being annoying. 2) Reduce the reward; maybe 3 kills extra, since a nuclear sign on your head is already advantage enough, in my opinion. The biggest reason I think Most Wanted is ineffective is because the second-strongest player nearly ALWAYS ends up killing the most wanted. The second-strongest player most definitely does NOT need extra points, and such a big reward makes it unfair for the top player. I like the principle of giving incentive and bonuses to newer, maybe less proficient players, but in this case they will never get the most wanted kill: regardless of nuke sign or size of reward. Most Wanted only gives points to the already-skilled players and punishes the player on a spree. However, it does ward off camping, and help find players hiding in uncommon areas, so I would not eliminate it but simply change it.
  8. Alright, I just played the new rotation. Good news: big increase in players. Kept 4-8 players, and they started coming within minutes of first populating the servers. That means if you're looking for a game, just enter the server with a friend and the players will come on their own. I see many are enjoying the new aimmaps, and poolday is always a favorite. I may have recommended harbour too soon, however. It felt too big even with 6-7 players, although it's a great map. Bad news: team balancing is needed desperately, as we attract more and more skilled players. These players will just stack teams on purpose, and leave them unbalanced. They take away from the enjoyment of other, perhaps newer, players. If you play with OSF/AxG, they are a prime example. What we need: 1. The ability to move players, individually, to other teams. 2. The ability to lock teams in place. (no switching allowed) 3. it would be nice, but not necessary, to have the ability to switch to specific maps rather than !nextmap multiple times. For example, if everyone requests poolday, but it's 3 maps later. I am happy with the increase in players however; everyone can help out by planting a "seed" to attract more players, since they won't normally come to a totally empty server.
  9. ^ yeah. that one was great So yeah sang9_aimmap, aimmapv4, sang9_aimgauss above are nice, but they are acquired tastes. Have you seen eq shox's desert aim map? A possibility. Great rotation right now though =]

Some suggestions: Villager revisited Harbour revisited sang9_aimmap Dsg_1_aim (not for everyone--sniper rifles only) I really liked RedvsBlue that we had long time ago; forget what it was called really ... but the one with sniper rifles. That was fun. What about st33l's reflections? That could be showcased again. (maybe get rid of clays though) Good choices so far Cygon! I would ditch Olympus. It's been on long enough, and I agree that the spawn points are ridiculous.

  12. If we actually do get many players, some mid-sized maps would be nice. However, I doubt we will see more than 12 at a time, so small maps are OK. I'd also like to add that we need a good auto-balance system. Like BROS, where they lock teams if someone tries to unbalance when joining. And auto-balance numbers when possible. Maybe implementing power balance if you guys are up to it.. something like when the scores differ by a huge amount, the some players get switched around. This is a problem when some jerks *ahemOSFahem* try to stack teams. I think CTF is great, especially with the small maps, but most people don't really know how to play. It's not worth playing if nobody is working together. Finally, take Crash out ... its time is long passed.
  13. ^ no you are right. It's still running right now, but they stopped paying for it, and it will close by the end of the month. It was 16-slots, and popular considering it's CW. I would recommend PoolDayv2 and any of the S9 aim maps. I really like the Force1 map, made by bananasplit1, we have now. I would also try Stadium, by bananasplit1 as well.
  14. Well, phX closed its server. It's tragic as it was the only server that I pinged below 70 Seriously, if you want to run a pro-friendly server with all the aim maps I mentioned above, there is no better time to do it.
  15. How about you just let me change maps at any time? Some people just ignore the vote, and so majorities are hard to get ....

  18. Since you wanted me to post Ray; You want more skilled players? Run pooldayv2 and s9 aim maps. You want more Psycho's? Run stock maps like mesa, battleground, etc. You want only our loyal (and dwindling) players? Run custom maps/mods. I love the custom stuff, but I don't think we are ATTRACTING new players. And however great a new map is, it's worthless without someone to play with. ATTRACT new players first, THEN make them stay with the great custom stuff XI is known for.
  19. So guess what arrived in the my mail today? The nvidia 9800GTX+ 1GB GPU Oh man, I can't wait to try it out! However, my PC has a stock psu, which is too weak for such a magnificent graphics card! I'll go shopping for a more powerful psu this weekend or the next, and I'll tell you how it works out! YAYYYY Huge thanks to soothsayer for the generous donation, and Rugger + XI family for the shipping!!
