Tier 2 requires a 3x3 and 2 high. Tier 3 requires 7x7 and 4 high. Tier 4 is 9x9 and 6 high. Tier 5 is at least 17x17 and 7 high, but fully upgraded requires 25x25 and 11 high. I recently started over.... Like from scratch! I deleted all of my stuff and I may try playing a different way (like doing magic instead of all machines).
