  1. Thanks friends. They seem to have stumbled onto an antibiotic that's working. (slowly). Maybe I'll get out of here before ever.
  2. Gah!! On Sunday I came down with massive chills and a 104.5F fever. Where was this coming from?? Monday nite my right lower leg lit up like a neon sign and I could heat a room with it. So here I am now sitting in a hospital bed wishing the antibiotics I get intravenously every 8 hours actually worked. I feel like crap and miss all my gunning buddies.
  3. It is very hard to snipe in Acemod. I don't think this artificial game spoiler should be included in the game. This is a war game. It's about problem solving and solution finding. The idea is to win. There are many ways to win. You have to pick the right way depending on the crowd that's present, in the map, at the moment. Sometimes you need to snipe to win sometimes you need to run-an-gun. Sometimes you have to focus on eliminating snipers to win. This is what WAR is about. It is a free-flowing, free-form, puzzle that requires fast thinking on your feet. It sucks me in. It's exciting. Dynamic. Multi-dimensional. Adding some external function that blocks one facet of the game reduces the entire game - dramatically. It's like taking one tire off a car. You may still be able to drive it but you probably will never be able to go fast or turn in a certain direction any longer. Same with any artificial limit on this game. You are essentially saying snipers shouldn't be here. That wasn't the intent of the creators of this game. They provided claymores to protect snipers. They provided multiple sniper weapons to choose from. Why are we essentially nixing this dimension? Are we nixing it for the run-an-gunners? I don't want to just play a run and gun game. That's too much like a zillion other games. That's like Pong or Mario Brothers. (There are members who are in far away, higher ping, places who can only snipe.) If you're going to nix sniping, (and I snipe with the M14 and G3 which is now impossible), why are we allowing claymores? Why noob tubes? Why C4? C4 - throw it in the air while hopping and it kills everyone in that direction on the map!! How is that as rational as sniping? Those things are all annoying in their own way, but conversely, they present challenges that make this a fun thinking game. I have tried the anti-sniping and I humbly request it be removed.
  4. Hi Dean! Agreed. Those type are pretty dangerous. Of course for me it's like a moth to a flame. I love seeing someone dig in and lay waste. Campers are my favorite. I love it because it immediately generates a challenge for me. I'll often die several times trying to crack the challenge, but then, I know how to from then on. In one case I was able to find the angle and direction to lob a nade over an interposing building so it lit behind the person in their pile-of-boxes hiding place, about a 5 foot square it had to land in. The ones I don't like and would kick-for-a-nite, if I could, are the players that set up someplace where there's a spawn point. They know spawn killing will be called so they setup down an alley or at some vantage point where a spawnee will likely have to egress thu. This way that can honestly say they are spawn killing. But really they're just "delay" spawn killing
  5. What ever one is chosen it should allow editing of the names. A new member should not be bumped from 10th place to 4,020th place just because they added >XI< to their name.
