I wouldn't play the beta unless an admin was on and playing too so they could change the map when they hung. It sucks having 10 people on a server that just give up and go offline after a map crashes.

I love the beta but this is the experience I've had on it.

Love the environmental stuff, great additions. Two things that I did notice, although they may be intentional:

The dmg per bullet seems exceptionally high. Anything with stopping power seems to be one shot, one kill.

The other is the reduced amount of time for spawn protection. Some maps have unbalanced spawns. Reducing the spawn protection timer for some maps almost makes one side a predictable losing side. It would be nice to have the spawn protection at least close to what it is on the other server.

Regardless, I am really enjoying the environmentals and the "hectic" nature of the losing communications.

I'm not a huge fan but in self-defense I use them when PingLo or Lawless are in a map.  It is just silly not to use it then.

well i got mine running...set all the video set back to auto..and worked for me

 

Love the mod.  The only problem I've seen is that every map load gives me a bad IWD call.  Setting the video back to auto fixes this or some other problem?

 if your getting the Bad IWD Error.

Clear out your MW2FREZZETAG folder. you have to reload the maps and mod but fixes the problem.

Someone said if you start the mod upfirst the join the server, it fixes the problem allso. but i did the above and works for me.

Before I committed your suggestion I tried again last night.  It seems the server was re-modded or updated in some way?  Regardless, I no longer have the problem.  If it starts again I'll do what you suggested.

sometimes you got to aim to defrost, but the most handy thing about /+activate is you dont pick up weapons when you thaw.

never good picking up a empty gun and a bad guy shows up.

Beautiful...that is very helpful.  I hate thawing and picking up an empty weapon just as an enemy comes around the corner.

Stupid question time. Is this what it sounds like: this function allows you to just look at someone to defrost rather than having to hold down the use button? 

If so, I've been barbarically thawing manually.

I've played on the ftag servers for a while now but wanted to register so I could formally say "howdy".  I'm a 35 year OLD guy born and raised south of Atlanta.  Redneck points for anyone that knows what a MoonPie actually is and has had them.  Bonus redneck points for anyone that knows the proper way to eat peanuts and coke. 

As my score usually reflects, I'm a middle of the road-er and spend much of my time frozen in the other team's spawn.  I'm just smart enough to know I'm bad at CoD4 but too arrogant to admit I need to improve.  So, beware any team that gets me...  Anyway, I love the servers and love playing with you Idiots.  I may not always play CoD4 but when I do, I choose >XI<. 

I look forward to many more games of being frozen more than I'd like and not thawed as often as i'd like.
