  1. I always did it with one 10 gallon steel pot (with lid and hose tap)

You'll also need a plastic bucket and a big glass carboy.

This, although I'm quickly having issues with only using a 10 gallon pot... :(  It is really limiting my volume (read: alc%).  I also agree that I probably wouldn't go electric - it is probably cheaper to buy a large volume pot (10-15 gallons with multi-ply bottom) and drop it on a turkey fryer stand....that is what I use.

  2. IF you can prove that someone has ocular occlusion turned on, then I will be more than happy to tell them to turn it off. Common sense would say that it should not be used, but we have no control over it, nor can we police it's use since it is a graphic setting on your PC.

The more that it is advertised and discussed, such as in this post, the more likely people are to attempt to use it.

It is the inverse of this...:)  They will likely tell you that they turn it off because they get much higher FPS, which is true.  Still, it doesn't change the fact that some folks abuse it.  This is much different than the first few seconds or last seconds of smoke being thrown....lots of times I'll shoot someone that is running through the tail end of smoke or right after smoke has been thrown.  They are still visible and don't' realize it.  Key to smoke, wait a few seconds before you go through it....but don't wait too long...haha

  3. @@iboomboom, you can spec all you like as far as I'm concerned.  I used to do that a lot too when I was still learning how to play.  Eventually you'll be good enough to play with us... :)  I do like your post but there are two things that I'd like to add.  One is a real complaint I have and one is an observation.

The observation is that the lag/CI issues seem to be related to the numbers of players in the game.  I will complain about that because when we get above about 26 people on the servers (including specs) a large share of my deaths are lag/CI related.  It has become frustrating lately....but that is just bitching by me.  The lag problems, although not evenly applied, do seem to impact us all.

My real complaint are those people that turn smoke off (read: change their ambient occlusion) outside the game. I don't care about lag hoppers and love playing against campers - what I don't appreciate are those people that change (video card) settings outside of the game to see through smoke and nullify a whole feature of the game.  There are snipers that sit in the only pathway between two areas with this feature set and just rack up the kills...pathetic.  These people should just stop playing the game if this is what is required for them to get kills.   This is a much different problem than the smoke dissipating - as you mentioned in your first post.

    /bitchingoff.

  4. someone said that some scripts u need to install in the migrated server might fix issues i been having with extreme lag with only 70 ping on the server....is this true?....as i also found out...is that server was moved to PA that closer to me then NY...i shouldnt be having these lag issues if that the case...i mean im really laggin bad enough where its almost impossible for me to play to enjoy game now...please tell me this is fixable..

I don't know what was done on the new server but I'm noticing bad "clipping" from players with good connectivity.  For example, there were players yesterday (e.g. - kimaley, scripter, etc...) that would blink? across the screen like players with really high connections.  These are players that usually never display this type of thing.  This was not universal because it only happened with a handful of people.  Strangely enough, folks like Prinny were not blinking across my screen like I normally expect.  I don't even know what to suggest is the issue.  All I can suggest is that something is not normalized between the two servers maybe as Cobra suggests.

  5. I like @@JohnnyDos image he caught the real essences of @@moonpie the player. Now the only thing missing was and X and an I on each cheek with the name @@Ruggerxi running down the middle can someone make that.LMAO

"the real essences of moonpie"...hmm, @@Noears711XI you'll have to clarify for me - am I the one posing or am I the one taking the picture?  If I had to guess that would be you posing and me taking the picture...

  6. Hahaha Johhny ... Keep trying with other people though :P Someone might chose it!

I think if it were a moonpie to eat.. it would be an applepie!

Poor misinformed people...i weep for you...

Your choices are vanilla, chocolate, orange, lemon, banana, and strawberry - love them all, but i'd probably settle for banana most of the time.

  7. Lol, @@Red, that is kinda funny - not exactly what a moonpie is but it is funny.  It would be really difficult to make a signature that represents a moonpie.  A moonpie is really just a south-eastern U.S. treat that has lots of history.  Originated close to where I grew up.  Think of it like if i called myself stroopwafel...

  8. sounds fair

He means, we have a priority list that is taken into account before we move onto the weighted ratios.

We start with the people hardest to understand because of their accents.  Then we include the guys that play like timid little girls, sorry Abu (hope this explains your situation).  Finally, if there is an admin on that actually knows what they are doing - we boot them.  The only people that never get kicked are the campers that never move out of spawn, high ping hoppers, and really bad admins like @@CobraBites.

    Hope that helps.

  9. Anyone with half a functioning brain knows the best way to get behind the enemy is to use these spawn protections. Tagger is super quick with aiming, shooting and takes the direct path to the enemy spawn of the maps that he knows about. While the rest of the flock mostly tries to find a decent spot to sit and watch. Moonpie does the same thing.

This is viscous lie, @@iboomboom.... in an unrelated note: Tagger, you idiot, you should have just made something up instead of telling them how we play.

Oh, and the only real difference between me/Tag, i typically run around with an MP5 unless the board is too big.  This is why I can't kill folks with as few bullets as Tag.

  10. I do not understand the complaints of wall spamming.  If i was in a real situation were i had to defend or die i would not hesitate to shoot some one through a wall. and the complaints that are said about no way he should have shot me.  there was a wall there do not add up.

a bullet will pass through the siding , 2 layers of ply and the insulation of a exterior wall easily.  the inside is usually just two layers of drywall.   a good pellet gun will pass through that.

I don't have a problem with someone shooting me through a wall, if they see me.  What bothers me is the random wallspray looking for hit-markers.  Since the comparison is what could happen in reality, you don't get hit-markers in real life.  That is the only time that I get annoyed at wall-spray.

    Moneybags:

I don't mind the moneybags but think the time is a little low.  I do like the concept, however.  Some people tend to abuse map terrain to get themselves hidden for a full map, and never move.  The only way to find them is to spec them. My play style is to get behind the enemy and shoot folks in the back....I'm sure folks would like a moneybag over my head if I was camping "hidden" in their spawn with an MP5.  If folks with sniper rifles are going to get a moneybag then the time should probably be set at 3-5x the amount of time someone with an MG would get.   (e.g. - 90 sec for MG and 480 sec sniping)

  11. Knifed. Shot. The 10 most wanted list, however that is made up, would be added that will give some bonus points. Its almost ready to go on the test server. Since there is no official list made up yet these are the current 10 most wanted and myself. Find them and kill them to get extra points. If some kind of consensus wants to change the list let me know what it is.

If that is the start list, I'll love all those extra points.  Thanks...   This is an awesome idea, love it Sammy!

  12. Thanks for the explaination on functionality.

Sammy, I didn't bring it up to set you on a wild goose chase...really just to see if it was a pervasive issue.  I can live with it even if it only happens to me.  I just thought I'd point it out in case there was something bigger going on with the mod.  I really like the mod overall - the only frustrating thing is that laggy players seem to be much harder to hit in this mod vs the last one.  Either way, I won't stop playing for two reasons: Hardline & a working car jammer...

  13. How could you tell he was invisible by specing him?

Keep in mind that this is sudden death....he wasn't dead, he was moving around/shooting, I spec'ed to his first person view, then knifed to free float behind him....no one was there, I then moved around the map to see if I could see anyone else - everyone else appeared to be on the screen.  Spec'ed and free-floated 2-3 times over the course of the sudden death round and every time he was invisible.

He was not cheating, of course...I'd noticed this happened with other players and I was trying to verify in this instance.
