  1. I've been using OCZ for 2 years and have never had a problem with them. They're pretty reliable for the price.
  2. I usually inform the family and head out with some camping gear for a week, taveling, backpacking, and hunting are all fun.
  3. The metro series is amazing, although I've heard resident evil is one of the best horror games to date.
  4. I ended up blowing all my tax return money last year on a fresh build for this year, it took a lot of careful planning and it turned out pretty nice. 5. Probably a town in a server I was a part of in my younger days, it was a water based town, based around a trade company in a harbor.
  6. The Server and you - What you need to know Banned Items: There are specific banned items for various reasons, make sure you read up on them here before you accidentally craft one you can't keep. Rules This is an important one, when in-game be sure to do /rules and take a moment to look them over. They are put there to insure you and your fellow players have an enjoyable experience while playing The 1.7.10 Pack on the XtremeIdiots server. The Staff do enforce them and rule breakers are dealt with accordingly. If you don't know something or understand something, ask. A good pointer to remember is if it's not naturally generated, don't touch it, whether it's claimed or not. This goes for peoples builds and areas that may have been inactive for some time. Don't beg Admins for Items or Ranks. No racism, or religious attacks. Anything falling under this subject will result in an immediate ban. No griefing or taking from player graves that are not your own, this will result in an immediate ban. No griefing or stealing from claimed or unclaimed bases. No killing players without permission, this means that pvp will have to be welcome from both parties. No sexist or anti-lbgt words. These could result in jail time or a ban from the server. Do not attempt to bypass protections or people land claims. No exploits, cheating or duping, this will result in a ban. No AFK pools or machines allowed, this will result in jail time. Be respectful - Have fun Economy You're probably curious as to how you will make money, and while this may seem intimidating it's not that difficult to understand. On the 1.7.10 Pack XI Server you can make money in 4 different ways. /market (This option provides a global market to all users, you can buy and sell things for in-game currency) /warp shops will take you to user created shops where each shop owner will sell a variety of items. To set up your own shop, speak with an admin. /vote (By voting you will receive $250 and 2 diamonds; for a total of $1,000 and 8 diamonds a day, it basically helps you out with money, and helps the server get more activity.) Player to player trading Claim Blocks By playing on the server you will build up game-time. Each hour amounts to 100 claim blocks that you can add your claim block fund. Using your claim blocks is fairly simple. Most of the time when you place down an item of significance for the first time, the claim block plugin will auto claim around that item but most of the time you will use a golden shovel. With your golden shovel in-hand, right click the ground where you would like to start your claim. Then in the opposite corner right click the ground again to finish your claim. A pretty decent instructional video can be found here. /abandonclaim: Deletes a claim /abandonontoplevelclaim: Deletes a claim and all it's subdivisions. /abandonallclaims: Deletes ALL your claims /trust: Grants a player full access to your claim(s). /untrust: Revokes a player's access to your claim(s). /containertrust: Grants a player access to your containers. /accesstrust: Grants a player entry to your claim(s) and use of your bed. /permissiontrust: Grants a player permission to grant his level of permission to others. /subdivideclaims: Switches the shovel tool to subdivision mode, used to subdivide your claims. /basicclaims: Switches the shovel tool back to basic claims mode. /buyclaimblocks: Purchases additional claim blocks with server money. (Only works if you have available claim blocks - You can get these by spending time on the server non-afk) /sellclaimblocks: Sells your claim blocks for server money. /trustlist: Lists permissions for the claim you're standing in. Market The server utilizes a global market plugin. Again, you can navigate to it by doing /market to see what's for sale, manage your listings, and to purchase items from other players. Server Lag - How to prevent it Server lag is an ever growing problem with modded Minecraft servers. Do your part and check out this wonderful resource written by A_Tasty_Peanut by clicking here. New to Modded Minecraft? Remember these basic mechanics. Food - Shelter - Protection - Resources - Machines and Mods - Always resort to the wiki for understanding a mod. Conclusion Hopefully by reading this you will have a basic understanding of the XI Server mechanics. I've provided you with more than enough information to help you navigate the server as well as not get yourself banned. Have a fantastic time. Disclaimer: I will add more things to this guide as needed.
  7. You'd probably have better luck posting this in the Ban Appeals section of the forum, not the main Minecraft section. Just a heads up.
  8. Minecraft, in it's vanilla form is still a fun and challenging game for newer people. It gives the sense of accomplishment as you have to think of intuitive ways to survive; taking in all aspects like food, hunger, health, shelter, protection, combat, etc. Now with that being said, slap a few hundred mods in there and bring huge factories, dynamic endgame content that takes weeks to prepare, fight bosses that are harder than vanilla ones, and explore new lands. Minecraft is always a great game, and is often overlooked as a children's game, when in reality, it all depends on your play style and sometimes requires a great deal of strategic thinking.
  9. Greetings from Virginia! It's been a long time since I've joined anything this Xtreme, so I figured I'd introduce myself to everyone! I love tattoo's and I love video games, so I put them together to become TattooGamer online. With that being said, I currently have 2 sleeves, my chest and half my back tattooed. I'm 26 years old and finishing up my bachelors degree in IT. I first started getting into IT when I was 11 years old when I took my fathers computer apart, I was told I'd get a rash I'd never forget, so I put it back together hit the power button and everything worked as expected. Ever since then I've been fascinated with computers and how they work. This winter I'm going in for certifications in A+, Network+, and Security+. Outside of working part-time I enjoy playing all sorts of different games, as well as thinking of ways to make games different from which they were originally designed for. My favorite games are Witcher 3, Skyrim, Fallout, Minecraft, and Portal. If you're a Skyrim lover, I'd be pleased to announce that I will be dropping a new player home mod in October if you'd be interested in checking it out. Apart from gaming I enjoy wilderness camping, hiking, fishing and kayaking and anything that presents a challenge. I'm more often than not always up to help anyone in need. I consider myself fairly friendly, down to earth, and enjoy good company with the right people. I hope to get to know most of you guys and hope you all have a fantastic weekend! Thanks for looking! Tat
  10. As a new comer myself, I've got to show support to the boys in blue, thank you for your service!
