  1. here's a list of all the ram that will fit and not fit under the noctua d14 cooler. (scroll down till you see the ddr3 list)

    http://www.noctua.at...ts_id=34&lng=en

if your still not sure you can allways go with the corsair vengeance low profile ram

    low voltage 1.35v 1600 http://www.newegg.co...N82E16820233199

    a bit faster 1866 1.5v http://www.newegg.co...N82E16820233240

    16gb 1600 1.5v http://www.newegg.co...N82E16820233198

plenty other options on there. main things - dual channel, rated at 1.5v or less and speed of 1600 or above

i like the look of these mushkin 1600 cas 8 http://www.newegg.co...N82E16820226295

    (mushkin, very solid/stable ram)

don't know if higher speed mem is worth the expense. generally the higher the speed the higher the timings , so what you gain on 1 hand you lose on the other (as i understand it at the moment).

just 2 more things you need to check then your ready to go.

i noticed on the mother board spec sheet that it has only sata3 (6gb/s) ports and no sata 2 ports so you may not be able to plug some older sata 2 hard drives in there BUT i'm GUESSING you can actually put sata 2 (3gb/s) hard drives and plug them into the sata 3 ports and it will work just fine. just at the older sata 2 speeds (3 gb/s) YOU NEED TO CHECK THIS FOR YOURSELF!!!!. thats if it could be an issue. if your putting all new hd in there then just make sure there all sata 3 ( 6gb/s)

some people have been having problems getting the 8 core chips to work with the crosshair V MB for the simple reason that the MB needs a bios update (bios 0813) for the 8 core chips to work. you can dl the bios update from the asus website and update the bios using a function in the bios and a usb memory stick. (flash drive)

    http://www.asus.com/...rmula/#download ( download the latest bios )

here's a thread of a guy who had this problem and what he had to do to solve it.

scroll down to where it says howdy all

might be a good idea to contact newegg and ask them what bios revision the MB is pre-loaded with. it may have the latest bios installed allready. CHECK!!

    hope this helps.

  2. i seen some reviews of the all in 1 water coolers and the only 1 that could match some of the top end air coolers was the h100. i saw 1 review of the 1 your looking at and it performed as well as mid range air coolers (not great if your gonna be o'c your cpu. the fx chips use a lot of power when o'c (watts- heat). also the cooler produced a lot of niose (54 db) on max fans.

if you do go with the Antec H2O 920 you need to check it doesn't get in the way of your top fan (1 fitted . room for 2). the cooler will be sucking air from the outside and blowing warm air into your case. your gonna need some good exhausting through your top fans. ( make sure you check for yourself !!!!!!!!!)

better alternative - Noctua NH-D14 (air) 1 of the best air coolers (and quiet) and $10 cheaper on new egg ooooOOOoooooo http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608018

or corsair h100 about same price http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181017&Tpk=h100

NOTE: Noctua NH-D14 will not fit in your current choice of case (with its side fan fitted), not sure about the h100. i do know that both will fit in the HAF 922 case along with 2 side fans fitted. a great alternative ( i got 1 and tsw above) its a monster :w00t: . and same price http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119197

don't know much about amd motherboards but did notice your motherboard and ram are not compatable. the MB your looking at supports dual channel ram not quad channel.

(made this bigger so you dint miss it)

You need to get a diff MB that supports quad channel or just get dual channel RAM

Also check that all your other componants are compatable with each other (MB-gpu-ram-psu)

aside from that, i don't think your gonna need 32g of ram for games for years. 8 gig is plenty .

I got 16gb DDR3 1600 dual channel (wanted 8gig only ended up with 16 cos i was too impatient to wait 2 weeks for 8gb i had allready ordered from another shop) ram on my pc and the most bf3 used was 4.5 gb (on ultra settings)

2 sticks of 4gb ddr3 1600 (dual channel) should do it. you can allways add another 8 gb later.

GOOD, the money you save on your RAM could go to a better quality power supply unit. i dint like some of the feedback (on newegg) of the psu your looking at. I need a good psu but not looked into it yet but take a look at some seasonic, corsair, XFX or other good 1's. reviews, reviews and some more reviews

Graphics card - awesome The most important componant in terms of games and graphics. just check out some reviews of the card on forums or youtube has lots of reviews (professional ones)

Ops W7 on newegg WOW. you mean people actually pay for windows. oops did i say that out loud lolol

i just recently built a new system so i know how much of a pain it can be trying to decide. good for you that its still fresh in my head.

    Hope this helps.
