Or, at the top center of the cod4 menu, make sure Source is set to Favorites, Game Mode is set to All & Filter Servers has mod set to yes. Then in the top right corner click on New Favorite, then enter the i.p. of the server.

When an issue like this arises.. can't you log into the command line & specify to which map you'd like the server to rotate? I mention this because it has been possible with the COD4 servers I've run.

dollardogg well i didnt like alpha game play i hope they change alot of it Me thinks it will be more enjoyable with the larger maps.. the subway map was too linear... same map, same game type. Thing I really hope they have when it releases is the Commander function. Was disappointed to not see it in the alpha.

you can go to youtube & search 'Battlefield 3 alpha trial' & see all kinds of footage. Here's one with a nice knife at the beginning, and a display of the rpg going off in the subway By the way, there was just one map available & just in rush mode.. First segment is in the park, you blow the two MCOMS & it opens 3 holes in the ground that lead to the subway, blow those 2 in the subway, & there's 2 more at the ticket station/entrance to the subway, the last segment is in the streets & buildings of the city just outside the subway:

It's over. You get an invite from EA by having signed up for their e-mail newletter. Graphics were nice. At4s flying in the subway tunnel were crazy. Knife takedowns were fun. Don't like the 3d spotting... you could just spam the 'Q' button in a general area & multiple enemies would get the triangle above them.. you didn't even have to see the person and spot close to their position to get them to light up. Sorta ruined it, especially on the first segment of the map. That should be easily addressed by going into hardcore servers, though. Didn't like the auto health regeneration either, takes away from team play. It felt more like Bad Company 2 than Battlefield 3. No commander or squad features like BF2 & 2142. Hope they do implement those between now and release.

Man, makin' me hungry... that's some good stuff right there...

Some of the fixes I've seen are: 1. Plug in your microphone or some kind of jack into your microphone jack (even if you don't use a microphone). 2. Update your graphics & audio drivers. Enable stereo mix in your sound control panel. Those are the 2 most common working fixes I've come across. Let me know if either work for you.

Milky now i havent been here for awhile.. so i thought i had to comment on something.. and just to clearify things Jack Daniels is NOT a Wiskey people.. Its a Bourbon!! It IS whiskey, & I'll give your the reason why: Whisky is defined an alcoholic distillate from a fermented mash of grain produced at less than 190 proof. Bourbon whiskey is defined as being made in the U.S. from at least 51% & no more than 79% corn, & aged for at least 2 years in charred barrels made of new oak. What that means is that ALL Bourbons are whiskeys, yet not all whiskeys qualify as Bourbons; Bourbon is a specific type of whiskey.

If the exploding crossbows are like they are in Black Ops, they're fun to make people scramble to get away in the few seconds they beep before exploding.

Didn't bother to read the whole 10 pages to see if it's listed, but Elijah Craig is a damn fine bourbon whiskey. Reasonably priced for the quality, too.... Around $25 for a 750 ml bottle. Aged 12 years. Small batch bourbon. They also have a single barrel 18 year for a little more.

Good times indeed... I remember as a kid, running around barefoot in the summer so much that I had calluses on my feet that would enable me to run over gravel without being bothered. Riding bikes everywhere a bike could go & finding out a few places it couldn't. Heck, riding a bike to the local swimming hole was reward for the effort to get there. Or to the local fishing hole & enjoying the quietude. Things many kids these days are the poorer for never experiencing.

To me, the point of XI..... is having fun and gaming with friends - not getting angry that someone "less skilled" than you, gets a kill or two on you. Yes, fun. People play against each other with guns & both generally have fun in the interaction, win or lose. When a person uses a tube, there's no fun interaction on both parts. The person with the tube ploops their tube in the general vicinity & the other person(s) immediately die. There was no chance for fun for the other person. One or two people doing this changes the whole flow of a server. And it isn't just one or two kills because there are those who will suicide & refill on tubes to do it again... all map. If you had a server with nothing but tubers, there would be no action, because they would all be sitting waiting for someone else to come by to ploop on. The people who want to have tubes in EVERY server are saying 'don't take my fun away from me which consists of taking the fun away from other people.' People get in fights with guns in a server, & from time to time think 'that was a good fight'.. 'that was fun', win or lose..I do. People get tubed don't think, man that was a good fight, man that was fun. The only person had fun was the person spamming the tube. A sniper takes me down on the run, I usually think 'good shot', because he actually had to hit me with that bullet... a tube in my general vicinity takes me down on the run...I'm not thinking good shot. It doesn't require making a server without any explosives or kill streaks It doesn't require taking tubes away from everyone in every or any other server. Just make ONE server without tubes, or tubes toned down. It's a relatively simple, quick & easy fix. Don't know why all the controversy. It will just provide a fair opportunity for a sizeable portion of people that would like to play in a server like that. Don't know why people who like to tube complain about that request.

Like I suggested earlier, just have ONE server as a respite from the tubes & everyone is happy. 4 or however many servers for the tubes 1 for people who wanna play primarily with bullets problem solved

Surely >XI< has room in their dedicated boxes to make ONE server with the tubes eliminated or nerfed. Do that & let people have a choice, that still leaves the other servers the way they are. What, if any, is the problem with this solution?

How about making just ONE server where the tubes are toned down or eliminated. A clay or satchel can be easily countered with bomb squad, if one chooses. The tube is over powered: just lob it in someone's general direction & get an immediate kill. Use overkill & get 4 or 6 or whaterver of 'em... & when you run out, just nade yourself & get a refill. It's out of balance with the rest of the game. You guys are always trying different things, so try a server without tubes or with them toned down, & let people have a choice.
