My Uncle, Elwood T. Driver, was a Tuskegee Airman. He is listed as having shot down one FW-90 and one probable over Anzio, Italy. He is named at the end of the RED TAILS movie. He loved flying the P-51 . Going with the times, after graduating from college he was refused entry into the Naval academy for having an overbite. He ended up being the number two man at the FAA, being selected by President Jimmy Carter. He is buried in Arlington National Cemetery.

Is there another cod4 that doesn't have "camping mods" on it? If not I guess I will have to surrender my tags. Thanks for everything,Rugger.

I can't play as it is because I won"t be able move and shoot at the same time as well as others. I have to play one handed. I get killed 19 of 20 times, so it doesn't work for me. Thanks for all the fun I have had in the past.

LaRSin widowmaker Venery i dont like the change....i like that it calls you a camper, cause its funny....but to sit still and die is just not realistic....guys like ron barcardi just wont be able to play....and i like him in the game, cause it brings a variety to game play.......how bout, doing something about the unrealistic bunny hopping. in real life no-one i ever shot at jumps....they just run. i suspect the timer was put in place to discourage camping on spawn points and killing spawners. make the setting in ace mod the same as in freezetag...where you can actually move away from the spwan point before coming into view to other players for a few seconds..,...that should fix that. agreed! now having two acemods sounds like a good idea. atleast i will have a place i enjoy playing in. at the moment i don't. i keep trying ace every once and a while, but can't seem to play a full map with out getting annoyed. so i just leave. having 2 acemods i'd vote for that. Me too I know how settle this , Have 2 servers , 1:One for run and gunners no camping rule 2: One for campers were the only time your allowed to run is when your in spawn protection, After that you get punished if you run, Only move when crouched. Just want to add I really don't care that much either way , Will always play acemod, camping ,noobtubes and spawn camping..doesn't matter, I just hope all the people here that are winning and bitching about the rule come and at least come play there, no matter what way it goes, (I added the winning and bitching because thats all I've read here from some) , everyone is entitled to there opinion without people saying stuff like that, just let them speak you don't have name call..and try to bully them. Just hope if there's no rule,, that they take action on the spawn camping, because it was way out of control.. My suggestion is just for a laugh Doesn't matter now...just told it will be on another week (Anti-Camp Mode)..Guess they just don't want me to play anymore.

widowmaker i agree ron. but one thing is that us as admins we are doing the best we can. i'm fighting for the same cause you are. when a hacker leaves as soon as a admin comes in we have no proof. if you or any one see's a hacker please get a video and post it or get with an admin with it and something would be done about it. as for the anti camp, the no's have it, but don't know why it is still on. i do feel the way you do on that ron. p.s. do get a video and something will be done. , widowmaker Thank you for the support, Ron

chris4874 look i know what i am about to write will piss guys off, but i have to ask, is this a vote about camping ,or ron barcardi?,he/you are a player on ace mod, not joan of fucking arc,no one should be getting turned into a victim here.this is about banning [or not] a mode of play which until it had a "face" put on it a lot of guys hated [spawnkilling anyway]sorry ron this is not personal, you have a "medal" for run and gun not camping [i think i am right in saying?]to me this vote was[is?] about camping not people,the "head shed" should get a well done for doing the vote,and putting their head on the block for trying to resolve a problem, which lets face it most guys were moaning about, just over a week ago,sorry folks my view Chris4874 - Nothing personal about it. I read it as a two for one vote as if they can't camp, they can't spawn kill. That definately leaves me in the middle, but it also changes the whole ACE mod and makes half the players change their tactics. If only they enforced banning spawn killers via video, it would of cleared up this problem from day one. I am not an Admin so I don't have a say in this and have to roll with their decisions on it. It was fun for me and I enjoyed playing with the players on the clan until this fiasco hit. As I said, if they catch spawn killers instead of crying about it and blaming anyone who camps over 30 seconds it would simplify everything. Now it is a hackers paradise from what I have witnessed in the last two days and getting worse. They come in for a game or two and gone when an admin logs in. One of them even had 5 stars (I wonder who that was). Anyway Chris (and others) thank you for defending my mode of play (even if you do not agree with it). That shows class to me and I appreciate it very much. It has been fun here until this situation arrived and not worth the aggravation in the long road, to see the whole game I played for almost two years turned into this mess.

Well Harry, it seems that this going to stay on quite a bit more so I will seek another site until it ends as I have seen quite a few new hackers since it began that were never here before because many more members were present on the site and caught 'em fast. It just isn't fun for me anymore and the vote doesn't seem to actually carry any weight, for now. Funny how you can spec and see automatic pistols and sniper rifles appear, unlimited ammo and grenades, people jumping over walls and shooting under the map. TheY should create a restricted server and leaves this one as they stated it would be....open to all legal aspects and tighten up on the spawn killers and hackers they have with THE new one. JUST MY OPINION.

PrPleKusH ron bacardi is one of our most active cod ace member.. its not right that he has to sit out cuz other ppl spawn kill and shit... im behind ya ron despite u piss me off from time to time :0 <3 Thanks for the plus...Just have to wait until Pete finishes his job. That is what Admins are suppose to do. Probably after this week-end I suppose..and I am just hanging in there. I think I piss everyone off at times when I hang c4 or pop them from the trees or bushes. I finally got the hang of the grenades now. Probably another week to go or so until this ends with the constant changes being made.

mickvette Hi Ron, I was on Chieftain, Challenger 1 (great shoot em up on the Basra Road back in 91!), Challenger 2 (best tank in the world bar NONE! ) plus recon, Scorpion (76mm gun) and Scimitar (30mm cannon). I also was a gunner on M60A1 in Fort Bliss Texas back in 1980, when we were on an exchange tour with 3 ACR. Now I just enjoy the killing fields of COD4 I was in Israel for a while when they were delivering "excess" armor to them and it was a mixture dating back to the 50's. They accepted anything and made it work for them. Talk about doing it with you back against the wall (sea in this case), unbelievable. I always wanted to see the Centurion, which I've seen pictures of. I guess this Anti-Camping will go on a few more days so I will just have to wait awhile longer to play. Take care........

mickvette Personally I tyhink the idea is good, but does need some refining. I have found that sometimes, if you go back to the spot you left, the Camper prompt comes up, also should not happen when you are pinned down in a hail of fire, as happened to me last nite! I was behind a crate with at least 2 firing at me when the Camper warnign appeared, so do I just run out and get killed? Generally tho, I think it does make the game run faster, and improves fire and movement, which as any ex soldier will know, is the ethics of any battlefield action (ex tanker here!) Hey Mickvette..I thought I was the only Tanker...M48A3 and M103A2 were my rides........One a search light and other a blade tank. Loved the 103 because it had two loaders for the 120mm gun used and heavy. 1811 was the MOS in the USMC.

chris4874 - hanoi greetings i am going to assume, that the grown ups are aware of the glich on this map?. i noticed it today while on "spec" i will not say who the player was but he was aware of what he was doing when i pulled him about it, any chance of a fix because if this clown is doing this on other maps [i have seen him doing it on the ruins map]then it explains a fair bit [i will not say who it was i am not the type]cheers It was on the ACE Mod

That is cool with me, I play either way but I certainly do not wish to lose some of our long time players like Ron to the anti-camp mode. Bama chimed in.. DING!!!!! Ron... hang out. I like what was suggested before.... Lets take one of our thousands of Freetag servers.. and turn one into into the alternative. Then see which server gets the most play time. If they both rock keep both.. if one rocks over the other.. then that is what we keep. It is about pleaseing the massis.. not just one or two people. Ron you sound like a really cool guy.. sure ur not from Canada? No, but was with a lot from all over Canada in the Marines...could not understand it...Draft Dodgers running to Canada and Canadians coming south to join the Marines. Been to Toronto and Montreal. Also a lot small villes there. Nice people who love Hockey and beer to the Max. I even learned to skate there, after several shots of McNaughton's shots. Oh yeah..origin in Princeton, NJ...right across the street from the University. A great small town to grow up in and still that way.

If you hear your a camper, just move to another spot and continue playing man, wth no big deal either way right? Everyone seems to have gotten into a uproar over this and its no big deal, no one is telling anyone how to play their game! The ONLY thing this has done is stop you or anyone from spending the entire match or round in 1 freaking spot! I camp and I run and gun, if I am camping then I will freaking move a few feet or run out and then back in where I was w/e you know. The only reason I say anything is because of the "over reaction" from it all. All its stating, again I say, you can't spend the whole fooking match in 1 fooking spot and thats all it is! Ok I swear this is it; Just think about this gang: In most other servers if you are caught camping an entire or even half a round muchless a match, they will kick your ass right out of the server and I think that 3/4 of them would ban you and I know I am not wrong about this! BOOMER>>>>>OK ...I will say this only once..when I started playing this game on this site I was advised that I could play anyhow I chose as long as I didn't spawn kill, hack or otherwise cheat. There is no way you can play a whole mod without getting killed and you can't cry when you do. I watch the very good players r&g and get killed or kill about every 1.3-1.6 seconds continually (hence the high scores and deaths) I play mostly one handed and usually am hiding with a sniper rifle..in faster games a silenced G36 and c4..also hiding because I cannot move fast or steadily. I am not moaning as that is the only way I can play. I checked and camping was a part of the game, but not oblivious of taunts and whines, but still legal to do so. I know I can't play otherwise so I announced that I would cease to attempt lengthy times on the ACE mod because of the restrictions placed on me by the anti-camping. I am not whining, just explaining to the players of my situation. If I DO NOT move I get killed and if I attempt r&g I last 1-2 seconds...so what is the point of doing that to increase YOUR totals. I know I cannot win many mod ventures so play for ratio, and happy with that outcome. I can understand if you don't like the mode of play I use and have no intentions of being the poster boy for moaning and whining. All I have said is I can't change my play and would not play on the ACE server very much, if any, in the future because of it. People say camper when it is sniper...camper when it is called stealth and guile...camper when they get shot two three times coming after the same person. Camping when they get you..and good kill when you get them. R&G to me is like when the cowboys lay under the wagons with a winchester and the indians ride around like targets at the county fair grounds shooting arrows. Being a Marine from 1964 - 1970 taught me to be realistic in firing and being fired at...not those BS war movies you often see. Best I can tell you is to watch FULL METAL JACKET...and that is how I play. 'NUFF SAID ON THIS.

Bigmeandean hey HXTR didnt you know that they have seasons on campers? LMAO thats all this whole thingwas hahahahahahahahaha! I don't know how it came up HXTR Dean, but it was I who posted it. I tried several times and just cannot do anything in the alloted time to function right as I have before this. Rather than being frustrated and saying something I shouldn't it will be better not to play under the situation for me. I will check in daily and such as obligated. I just will look for a good sniper site in the meantime and play there I suppose. I miss playing with you especially with your humorous chastising and laughter. I was surprise at some of the guys who always curse me in games supporting my play (not style) because it breaks up a lot of R&G guys play when they get shot behind trees and blown up from C4 on the overheads when running through tunnels. Anyway \, like I said, I will just check in to see if ACE reverts back to the way it was...someday. Hope you make out with the disability problems..I've been there too....Ron

I have come to the conclusion that I cannot play any longer with it on and will keep checking for/if is voted off. I have a few handicaps (unmentioned) and just can't use the run & gun mode. I have enjoyed playing on this server and made friends with a lot of the players. If is no longer used I will return. I guess I will have to find a sniper site until the vote is in. At least you can play and do whatever you want but I dont have that priviledge right now and it could be awhile before I do. Dean & Widowmaker: If you want to speed up your disabilty claims you should get all you medical data from you insurance company (usually online) and turn in to SS and your pension personnel. The insurance company has all your visits, test results and other data needed. Otherwise you will spend months answering questions and making repeated trips to different offices for the same BS things. If you are able to download all you data, turn it into the SS and Pension offices at the same time as they are really cross checking with each other and that delays your claims. I did it and two weeks later was approved by both. Good luck, Ron

Hi Guys & Dolls.. I have run into the anti-camping mode used now and will probably play a lot less in the future as I am an old slow geezer and have very little skills for the "run & gun" mode needed to play well. I admit I camp, but I disagree with it being called camping with a sniper weapon. I use guile and patience for most kills and have a good ratio for it. Anyway I do thank like all for their help and explaining things to me often for the past two years. This has been the only server I have played more than three times since and became accustomed to the players and their often comical sayings and outbursts of mild profanity when tripped up on something. SEMPER FI

BudSrXI ron i think this is all good now so play on. if you get any shit from here on out and that goes for all that have posted here about this. add ipbudsr to your x-fire like i said in the first post in this post. this was a temp ban and was over before all the posts came rolling in. but thanks all for your input. the main RULE here at XI is to have FUN, when the fun gets not fun we as admins do what we do best.
