Thank you for trying out the mod and then commenting on your feelings about it. I always get a lot of people that see a change mentioned in the forums and have never tried it and say they hate it or it’s going to ruin the server and they’ve never even tried it. How do you know if you haven’t tried it right? I will look into the time it takes to get into a car again and see if it can be reduced, also will check out the spawn protection time after a I’ll streak. I’m open to compromise if it’s needed. There will always be something people are not happy about, I could change things that would make you happy but it would piss of another group of people. It’s a no win battle I face. I could run a different mod that other servers run that don’t have all the goodies we have but that would piss off a large group of people. I just try to make the server a place people can come to and have a good time without getting their asses kicked and not hav any fun. I’m trying to equal out the playing field a little bit that’s all. It’s not catering to campers or anyone. I’m just trying to stop the great players from getting a bunch of kill streaks and owning everyone because their invisible most of the time. I still have yet to get one video of a hacker sent to me, but if you go on the server you know what you hear. That’s what ruins a lot of the game for everyone. Like I said above I’ll look into some tweaks for compromise.

@ShadyBrady I had plenty of people like the comment and message me, so I went ahead with it, if it doesn't work it's always an easy change back According to @Sammy the mod creator, combat medics get extra spawn protection time from killstreaks, I don't use combat medic so I don't know this for sure, I just go by the guy who created the mod Just give it a try for a couple maps and see how big of a change it is, before saying its going to make gameplay worse. You might like it.

The change has been made, it should take effect on the next map change Only after a killstreak, you will have only 2 secs of invisible spawn protection and combat medics will have 3 secs.

Anyone have any other feelings about the amount of spawn protection time? If not I will go forward with it tomorrow morning

COD4 MW2 Freezetag players, big change is coming to the servers, this will mainly affect the very good players that constantly get killstreaks. Right now players are invisible from spawn protection when they leave their killstreak for 6 seconds, if you have combat medic you have 9 secs. So the really good players are invisible and in spawn protection a good amount of the time while us not so good players are sitting ducks for you to easily sneak up on and knife or kill us. I was thinking of changing it to, 2 secs of spawn protection which will give 3 secs to people with combat medic. This is only after leaving your killstreak

I just need a video to ban these people. i can't just ban people because people say their hacking or whatever, then I would get someone that says you or someone else that isn't hacking is hacking well them I would have to ban you also. This is why I just need a little video proof then, then I can get rid of them.

If you have a couple mins, hop on the server right now and test out making a video. Just follow the directions I posted above

Its super easy to make these recordings, once you do it once, you'll see how easy it is.

@RobMc I bet if you went on the server right now, someone is complaining about someone hacking, go in there and take video of the person they're accusing of hacking, send it to me and we can ban them.

If you noticed I went to spec and watched for awhile, and there was nothing there. What a lot of these guys do is use the invisibility of the kill streaks to move around and see where people are, they also listen to team mates and listen to where people are from them. I try to give enemy positions as much as I can, which is giving our team a hack of sorts that they can see through walls and all the way through the map just by listening to their teammates give away enemy positions. I would still love to see the videos of yours so I can see what you are seeing when I'm not on.

Interesting idea and one that should be looked at, people are invisible for a ton of the time because of all the kill streaks they get.

Please just take some video so we all can see what you're seeing, just go in under a different name, play for a round or two, go to spectate and record them. Send the video to me and I will ban them. Simple, easy done. Then go on to the next one. This goes for anyone, it only takes a couple mins to video a hacker if they're hacking. I need to feed this banning hunger I have, send me some hackers!

Only take a few secs to type /record and just spectate the hacker, please send me the demo, I'm in a banning mood this week.

If you think someone is hacking do this to get them banned, go to spectate and video them playing and send the file to an admin or myself. This is only for COD games Here's how you take a video: 1) activate the console in-game by pressing the console key, which is located just beneath the ESC key. 2) Enter "/record" into the console to start recording a demo. If you want your demo to have a specific name, for example in order to remember whom or what you recorded, use "/record DEMONAME" instead. 3) When done with the recording, either leave the server or enter "/stoprecord" into the console. 4) You can now retrieve the demo from your Call of Duty 4 directory, in the /main/demos folder. If you recorded a demo on a modded server, then the directory is /mods/MODNAME/demos Get the demo file send it to an admin and the player will be banned if they are hacking as you say. Or send it to me and I will ban them if they are hacking as you say they are.
