What are the pro's and cons of having your CPU's overclocked?

Thanks for the opinions everyone, just a few more questions, i know the SSD 64GB is some sort of hard drive but what exactly does it do, i'm pretty sure i ain't got one now, i just checked my specs and can't find anything (maybe i'm wrong) also a few have said wait a while, i look at it this way with PC's there is always something new coming out, when you buy a new one within a couple of months most of it is out of date anyway, so unless there is something fantastic gonna happen in the computer world soon then i don't think i will be waiting (my current PC is on it's way out anyway) if i had any idea about building my own PC i would deffo give it a go , my son just built one for himself last month but he is working in Australia and will not be back until late May early June, so i cant/don't want to wait that long, also 16Gb RAM i think you can never have too much RAM Exe, if i do get this one depending on what i hear about SSD drives i may only change the graphic card, but i still think i will shop around more today.

Google i played BF3 with a Radeon 5830 and had no problems, i done some checks and it gets great reviews for BF3

Need some opinions about this system....what is the graphic card and the processors like, at the moment i am running a Radeon 5830 and my processors are quad core Q9550 2.83 ghz, is this a big improvement on what i have or is it minimal? Intel Core i7 3820 4.40GHz, Intel X79 Chipset w/ SATA 6 & USB 3.0, 16GB DDR3 1600MHz, 64GB SSD, 1TB HDD, OCZ ZS 750W PSU, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560Ti DX11 GFX, DVD-RW, Onboard HD Audio.

If this did happen we would need to do something like in BF3 where you are kicked from the server for 3 team kills, could make it that you freeze yourself after a certain number of teamkills, but on the whole i predict it would cause problems, especially for us admins when all the complaining and squabbling started about so and so is freezing teammates on purpose etc etc

No Labob i done all that, deleted everything, then everytime i go to join the server i get that error message, it's very strange because it is only these 3 servers that i can't get into, i have had some computer problems in the last week but i would have thought if it was my PC that was the problem then i would have been screwed for all cod4 servers?

Lol yup i know the paths to my usermaps, either with uac on or with it off, not sure which one is which lol, c:\users\username\appdata\local\virtual store\program files\(x86)\activision\call of duty4 modern warfare\usermaps\ or just c:\users\program\files\(x86) then just click on that it takes you into your folders, or just click on "my computer" right click on your c drive then click "open" then the activision folder is available there. I deleted everything to do with cod4 from both folders, i also ticked to show hidden files and folders yesterday, when you say go into game and enter that mod...where abouts in game do i do that?

I am using win7 64 bit and i have uac on....not sure what you mean Labob when you say " When you delete the mod from your machine,log into the game the server should direct you to a place to download the mod it's using.......Ping surely it can't be as simple as that can it? but i will try that now

Posted about this the other day, when i try to connect to ftag chicago ftag new your and the Ace mod i get this message, "Fastfile for zone mod is corrupt or unreadable" i can get in our other cod4 servers no problem, i have deleted all mods and iwd files 3 times now and even reinstalled cod4 twice, not sure what else to do.......HELP PLEASE!

I had to reinstall win 7 at the weekend which meant a cod reinstall too, i now find i can get in 5 out of 8 servers but not FTAG CHICAGO MW2 FTAG NY AND ACE MOD , the mods start to load then i get this message "Fastfile for zone 'mod' is corrupt or unreadable" and it crashes, anyone got a solution for this....or better still would anyone like to buy this fucking stupid PC

Thanks simplemod you were correct it was c:\windows.old

It never gave me any options to create any or not create any partitions it just did it, i tried for a clean install and followed the instructions to the letter but it never worked

I don't understand all this partition crap, why did'nt they just leave it like it was before, why do we need partitions.
