ok, so I have Windows7 and my C drive is running out of space.  I normally put all of my Pragram files on a separate drive and try to keep just my OS and a few other things on the C drive.  Well, when I Installed Black Ops, it didn't give me an option of where to put it and it loaded it on my damn C drive.

I only have about 6 GB free on my C drive, so I would like to expand it to make it bigger.  I have a total of about 750 GB on my drive and it is partitioned into 3 different drives as follows....C Drive is 68.3 GB, I Drive is 380 GB (214 GB free) and my J Drive is 249 GB (212 free).  I think I would like to expand my C drive and shrink my J drive.

Can I do this without reformatting anything or screwing up my data and programs????  HELP!!

Thanks!

1. You have just discovered one of the biggest reasons why Steam sucks.

2. Not that I know of, unless you move the stuff from your J Drive to some other storage medium and then merge those two partitions using the Win7 partition managing crap. You can then re-make the J partition, and put the stuff back on if you wish. Kind of a roundabout way of doing it, but hey, that's Microsoft for ya.

Actually Win 7 has a partition managing tool built right into it, unlike previous versions of windows.

Heres a step by step, but beware, any messing with partitions has the risk of loss of data.

I would invest in an external drive and make images of your drives prior to starting. I picked up a 1.5TB drive for only $125 a couple of months ago and it has been a god send.

good luck
