So could anyone advise me about the best graphics card to build the pc around? I personally like nvidea gt cards. also what processor & motherboard and ram to suit. I'll have about £500-600 to spend maybe a little more, (I don't want to give my bank manager a heart attack!) I'll be gratefull of any help. Yours John Tams/Chris Casson. Merry Christmas to all. It’s very helpful. At the bottom of the pages is a menu to make upgrades. I don’t think you would want to build a system around a video card. The overall quality is what matters. Newegg is a great place to get all you need. And now that it’s after Christmas prices will come down. If you cant ship to England the site will help you build a rig you will like. http://techreport.com/articles.x/18747/
 Awards

Sierra is more trustworthy on the specs actually needed for decent play (F.E.A.R.). As far as your video card thing, I have been using this for a while now to help narrow down for myself. http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/ i have also decided on the above stated card the GTX 460, plan on getting the superclocked one myself, it's got a $10 rebate most places bringing it down to $199.0, don't know what this is in pounds, but it's decent price. I wouldnt go under 800 watts, if you want to 2 way SLi it can handle it 3 way sli go at least 1000 watts. its always better to have extra power then not enough. Also go modular, the cables you dont need you can leave out. Memory: DDR3 1600 MHZ or faster. I think no less then 6 gbs, although this mobo take 24 gbs of memory. the thing I like about my mobo is that I can sli or crossfire it so I have double the choices, nvidea or ati, and I have never had a problem with my computer, other then video card cant handle Crysis real well and runs real hot. I got a gtx 275, plays all the cods no problems though. GTX 460 or bigger Go ful tower you what to have lots of room for everything and good air flow. I got the CoolMaster Half. the best thing you can do is go to Newegg.com open a account and start shopping, check your shopping cart to see how much you are spending, if to much start cutting back to the essentials. Dont skimp on the heatsink though, get the best one that will keep in nice and cool, VERY, VERY important!!!!! Anyway I hope this helps a little. Take the time to really check everything out for your needs SABREEYES

I wasnt tell him to buy there just to get idea of price. I dont buy anything on line dont want to have to deal with RMAing, it can take weeks. I go to my local Fryes elect. ya I may pay a little more but if it doesnt work or I dont like it, I can take it back the next day for a full refund, no waiting. Plus try something different if i want. and out of 5 builds in the last 2 yrs never had a bad component. Thanks for pointing out though, that I didnt tell him not to buy from them, unless he wants to. I am sure Amazon is cheaper but still have to RMA or how ever they work it. O by the way HAHAHAHA very funny banpire. Love ya Bro
