Hey i just had an alienware motherboard installed (it is a used one). I'm trying to do a fresh install on my harddrive BUT when i put the disk in i do not get the "press any key to boot from cd..".

The bios boot is set 1. CD/DVD 2. Hard drive

I have already reset the CMOS and BIOS to default.

If the previous windows manages to boot up i get an Overclock error then it restarts.

I got the windows CD to boot a couple times using the boot menu, but it restarts mid way when "windows is loading files".

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

First, go into the BIOS and set it to it's default settings and see if that lets you get going. What BIOS make/version do you have?
