For you geeks out there that find the early days of the computer revolution interesting, there is a new show on AMC that promises to entertain.

Halt and Catch fire premiered on June 1st and so far I have thoroughly enjoyed the first two episodes. It takes place in 1983 and is about a group of people who are trying to break into the PC market by reverse engineering an IBM operating system to help develop their own OS. It is now well known that Apple, Microsoft and other start up companies routinely stole from others to create their own products, so this show is loosly based on historical facts.

If you have a couple free hours check out the first two episodes at http://www.amctv.com/full-episodes/halt-and-catch-fire/3595861397001/i-o
