Stuck at work today, missing the cod2 memorial...grrr! Some favs of mine are from Corn Flakes, another are maple. Sadly, wifey's on a diet and not making them this year because like me, she wouldn't be able to resist!! I miss them already!! Awards

Got busy and a road trip, but here is one of my favorites. Not shaped like a Christmas theme, but one of my wife's family's Christmas recipes. Easy and quick, so hopefully the missus can whip them up for you!! Might want to do a double batch! Only down side is if someone has nut alergy. I'll put another or two that are DELICIOUS! Coconut Kisses (Corn Flake Cookies) 2 - Stiff beaten egg whites 1 cup - Brown Sugar 2 cups - Corn Flakes 1/2 cups - Chopped Walnuts 1 cup - Shredded Coconut (Bakers) 1/2 Tspn - Vanilla Beat Egg white and sugar, then add vanilla Mix in Corn Flakes, nuts and coconut Drop from teaspoon onto well greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350, 15-20 minutes Place hot cookie sheet onto damp towel before you remove (let cool a few minutes) Makes two dozen Edited December 22, 2015 by LtLaszlo Awards

Stir in sour cream (or evaporated milk) and maple flavoring Sift together flour, soda and salt. Blend into mixture. Add nuts and chill dough for 1-3 hours. Drop rounded tablespoons onto greased baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake 10-12 minutes at 375 - until almost no imprint when touched lightly. When cool, frost with glaze. Glaze portion 1/2 Cup - Butter 2 Cups - Sifted Confectioners Sugar 2 Tspn - Maple Flavoring 3 or 4 Tblspn - Hot Water Heat 1/2C butter until golden brown in sauce pan. Stir in confectioners sugar and maple flavoring and hot water. Stir until mixture is a smooth, sticky fluid. We use a BBQ brush to brush across the maple cookies. Work fast, since glaze will solidify quickly. Hmmmm!! Awards

Powdered Sugar Cookies/Balls Again, none of these are Christmas "themed", just long time traditions we only have then. Also note hey all have nuts, like us! Enjoy! Powdered Sugar Cookies 2 Cups - Flour 1/2 Cup - Powdered Sugar 1/2 lb. - Butter 1 Tspn - Vanilla 1/4 Cup - Crushed Pecans 1 Tspn - Baking Powder Mix all together, then form into balls. Bake 350-375 until edges turn light brown (around 12-15 mins). Roll in an separate small amount of powdered sugar once right out of the over, then a bit later when cool. Awards
