The next style I want to talk about has sevral variances. I like to think about them as run and gun. First of all the COD4 ACE Mod is best suited for this style of play better than any other style to date yet! This server from the first time I visited here has always been referred to by the clan members as a run and gun server. First the speed is incredible and you can do some nearly impossible feets on this server. There are three basic styles of the run and gun players. First there are the players that move around but as they do the find a cozy spot and sit in it for a few minutes or until they kill someone or some one kills them. I see them everytime I get killed they tend to move on and don't want to risk there own necks and their reputations as a camper. This group is by far the most successful of all the styles in the game! Now this isn't to say that if they find a spot with pretty secure location a round them they just don't want to give up something good just yet. Once they get entrenched they are very difficult indeed to route out of their nest! The next group is the ones that just go out waliking around with a gun always up and cocked and ready to shoot onsite. They just walk straight ahead and shoot anybody that gets in front of them and is ready for the next target! There is no secret about this group they just keep coming straight ahead and nothing can distract them. Now comes the style that am specially fond of, the melee class(ie the knifer style). I been told I have issues bcause of the ferocity I attack with when I do go after someone. Well matbe I do but this is where I get my therapy for my issue and I havent seen any long term effects on any of my victims yet! Lets get back to the business at hand. It takes a special breed to say," My only weapon will be the knife." You have to sell out 100% to it if you do. You have to know that you will probably win very few games if that. To do that makes you a level above all other styles because of the bravery you exude from your very existence. When I play this way I first go around the map and get to know where the players that I call "wannabees". I will talk more about them later in another post. Once I figure that out I begin to learn how to approach each area to be able to have a certain amount of kills. You don't have to worry they will educate you very quickly. When I finally get it down my best percentage of success is rather low at best but the best thing that happens when I do get to them and whenn they first have the realization that I am going to cut their nannies off and hang them on my wall is sheer panic and there has been more times than not that was the best reward I could get. Now I get asked many times after an incedent like this is, "Where did you come from and how did you get here?" Have you ever seen a cat after it successfully hunted and made a kill and had eaten it? Well that question makes me feel that way. The kill that gives me the most gratification is when I get to and kill what I call a gopher,(I will talk about them later). There are times when to keep going after someone is absolutely retarded or should I say stupid! Okay peeps thatsit for this post! My son bought me a Razer sniper mouse for Christmas and I am finally using it and I cant find my original cd with it! I need to install the firmware so I can program my dpi on my up and down! Does anybody know where I can find it? I have searched for over 3 hours for it and can't sseem to find it!

My bad! I should have identified which mod this thread is about. Its not for freeze tag, death match, or any other but Ace Mod. On there we dont tolerate spawn camping or killing! We have had some banned for it. I always hit the floor running so I am not still in spawn, but having said that there are those that win by that M/O. I love this mod and i am always on there. If your going to make comments about you think I need to take a break, come and live my life for 1 day and you will learn compassion on others not so fortunate as yourself! Thank you!

Crack I don't play for anytyhing but fun, and normally thats all I have. But it seems lately we've had more than our share of these types of people, and that looses it fun appeal for me!

There is another style of play that some players use and think that they are not being watched or that anybody cares. Let me tell you what it is and see what you think. Lets just suppose that we didn't have anysuch thing as spawn protection. I gaurantee you if that were the case that there would be a maqjor problem with that one absence on the server. What I am referring to is what most of you know as spawn killing. Now there are two main forms of spawn killing and one is recognized as such but the other is only occasionally called what is is. We all know if you spawn kill on the ACE Mod that it won't be long and you will be banned. The other its likely anything will ever happen to them beecause they really aren't doing anything wrong are they? If I was in control and be glad I am not cause I wouldnt let the players get a way with it. There are areas on each map that the spawn is some where protected by the surroundings on the map. Well there are players that hide and camp this surrounding area just to kill other players that are spawned there but as they come out of the spawn. They pick a hiding place where they are protected and where they can see the entrance/exit to the spawning site and shoot every body as the are coming out of the spawn. This is also spawn killing and just as wrong as the one that people have been banned for. I have seen some incredible high scores a k/d ratios by this tactic. It is a very unethical way to garner kills. I will tell you i will take videos of any and all plyers who play this way and do my damnedest to get them banned. We have enough crap goin g on this server without all this garbage we deal with here already. My point is we need to keep a clean server so everybody can have fun. That is what it is about, right?

Well I have the problem with my ATI card so what do I do about that?

Am using it and yes I was having mucho problems but then I changed my mouse and everything cleared up!

to those who missed my point to writing this, its not about choosing one style over another. It is to inform the idiots that play just for fun, irregardlees the score or gaming style! Say tuned as more is on the way!

I have spent countless hours studying some of the many different styles of players that seem to have a great amount of success than most of us do. It is after giving it much thought I writr this post. While some of the styles I detest, I will always respect their right to play their on style. What I found was some very interesting concepts employed. I like to think of it as just as there are many different ways to accomplish many of our profession jobs there will be and always will be varied manners of application of the principles to succeed at our professions. The following observations will not have any names mentioned so as to protect their way of playing the game. First I want to talk about those that seem to dominate the server every time they come on the server to play! The silent but deadly type are the players that don't like any attention drawn to them and they seem to understand the idea that noise brings the lions to the hunt. I have seen them pick oput a quiet out of the main travelled areas on the map and begin their assault with much success. The most amazing thing about this is most of the other players seems to not notice them or ignore them, even after being killed by them severalo times. This is why they have such a high rate of k/d ratio. Aftetr a while some one takes notice and kills them . Just as quick as they die they spawn in another location and pick out another area and begin doing it all over again. I have seen as high as 5-1 k/d ratio. Everyday we play with these players and they never seem to attract much attention and just keep doing it over and over again daily! I will post some more later so it doesn't take a lot of reading for you who cares to read it. Feel free to make comments whenever you feel it necessary, or there may be something I just simply left something out of my thoughts!

Well ity was my new MS mouse so as I had a razor adderdeath I decided to start playing with it so I could start getting used to how it worked. I was real sweet!

Malificent Damage_inc- Damage_inc- ha?well just add up our gametracker points on our servers...hell I never see alot of the ace mod peeps in the other servers so I dont know how this would work..ne how how about just some boobies.. Did someone say Boobies?! Omg! Is the heart beating again here? Blood flowin...thump thump thump... This is diferent than King of the hill. This is to see who has the most game at all aspects of the game and melees would also count for more points because they are much harder to get consistantly! I think if there is enough interest it could be done in any server where the mod will handle it. I was thinking myself inn the Ace Mod format but that could even be done in the extreme weapons mod which is pefect setting for this tourney! I would like to see it have two main brackets such as: all >XI< members on one side and all visitors on the other side but that is up for debate as all this stuff is! There would be say the regular 5 points for a kill for shooting or demolition, but 10 points for melee and 10 points for heli that is shot down. Just a bunch of suggestions!

We have had tourneys for the best of the clan but I don't recall ever having the bestall around tourney. Let me explain. Everybody likes to think that they are fairly decent when it comes to this game, right? Well most people only incorporate a limited amount of skills when they play. My thoughts are to be the best all around player youi need to use any one of the demolition skills and get a defined number of kills and likewise with melee kills. you need so many gun kills and so on. I think a tourney much like the one they just had would be fun for the clan and good for the players! Let me know what you think my friends. I would like to see how much interest there is in this before I go and plan this all out! What do you think?

I have a problem and I can't figure it out. I have donme everything that I know how to do and it still does it. The sympton is "i get a sound like when you unplug a piece of hardware from your pc then it immediately I get the ssound where you plug somehting back into the pc. When this does this I am froze until it stops doing it. If I play long enough all I have is a speed of creeping along at a snails pace. That's not me, I love to run and gun! I think my modem is bad but I really dont know. I am wondering if one of you can direct me to the problem! whatever it is I am bone broke and wont be able to fix it anyway, unless someone has one they wouldn't mind donating. Thanks for your input!
