I suppose it's time for a proper introduction. My name is Marty. I'm 34 and live in rural south central Idaho between two sagebrush, which should thoroughly explain my rotten ping. I'm a scale tech (truck scales, floor scales, etc.) by trade and can usually be found under a truck scale getting dirty and greasy. I'm also beginning to learn Visual Basic as my job is requiring it more and more as things become more PC-based. I've been married to my wife for 13 years and have four surviving children ages 12, 11, 7 & 5. My only son (7) will occasionally join me in the COD4 freezetag servers. He goes by Obedawg so be good to him. I've been playing FPS since Doom came out in 1993(ish). I primarily play COD4, but also have COD:WaW, MW2, BFBC2, and a variety of older FPS. I've been playing almost exclusively on your servers since being introduced to the freezetag mod. You idiots are a great bunch of people and I always enjoy gaming with you.

Primal, congrats on your newborn son! So sorry to hear about your neice. As far as explaining the situation to your son tell him the truth in language/manner he can understand. At that age he may not comprehend death, and it may not be as devastating to him as it is to adults. As for you and your family, take time to grieve the loss of your neice. She is a precious child and always will be. I can't explain to you why she's the one to have to have a brain tumor and live a short life, but the Bible says "He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous." My wife and I have lost 9 of our children and I won't fully understand why on this earth. Lean on your family (both immediate and XI) to get through this dark, bleak time of your life. We will be praying for you.

Infinity Ward locked down most of the settings in the config file. COD4 is a much better game than MW2 (although the graphics are awesome), the gameplay is lame. Maps are small and there are no mods or custom maps because IW locked it down. Online play will be dead in 3 months.

It's not allowed. They didn't want you to change the FOV and therefore gain some advantage. They want you to play the game the way THEY intended... /sarcasm

Kudos to XI for your great servers. I mostly play on your COD4 freezetag servers, but dabble in paintball and zombie. I've watched your donations tally since Christmas and am impressed by your member's generosity. Every month you guys receive more than you ask for - kudos to you all. 1lost1 and I are from the same former clan that wouldn't move on from Joint Operations, but now we both enjoy hanging out with the idiots.
